If Saddam had WMD'S America and its "allies" would never had invaded! It's because he did'nt have WMD'S or at least any that were a real threat to the West that we were able to invade. It will be interesting to see if the American troops "suspended for mist ...[text shortened]... risoners will face any kind of trial or if it will be dealt with in secret by the American Army?

Sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with who we're invading this year....

1. Taliban?? Who are you invading and what are you brabbeling about?
2.What's so wrong with the Taliban?
Do you mean they were opposed to women's rights, opposed to abortion and opposed to women having sex before marriage?
Do you mean they were opposed to men drinking alcohol and beating their women?
Do you mean the Taliban supported terrorism, just like the US does in 'the school of the America's' back in Georgia?
I fail to see where the 'scum' part fits in...

I think (but am not sure) that, in theory, death penalty is allowed in military courts.

i expected either genuine or planted evidence to prove that sadam's WMDs existed - regardless of the truth.
this could be planted by high level action (bush, rumsfeld etc) or by any level right down to the most junior levels of the us ...[text shortened]... is an honesty there which most of us in the rest of the world did not expect?
- i hope so !

I have confidence that the Coalition military forces are all professional. If not, we wouldn't have caught the goof-off guards who were mis-treating prisoners. The fact that one good person cared enough to rat them out speaks volumes. I can assure you that any military force lives on trust between people. This trust can't extend to your mates if it is abused on the external world. Group trust demands absolute integrity.
I think and I hope that the US military and the Civilian leadership will not tell lies. That just wouldn't be acceptable.

How far does this go? Was this understandable over-enthusiasm or a condoned form of mental pressure to get information?

yes the press do get it right sometimes just wish they were not politicaly bias. Plus every winner of the letter of the week always agrees with there thinking. Just a bit cynical. One point i know the millitary have there own justice system but the men and wemen who started this should be tried under law so they get a fair hearing.

Don't worry about it though, I'm sure it happens all the time.
If it makes you feel any better though, if you pop over to Holland, we can have a beer and a joint together and I'll be more than glad to tell you anything you want to your face.
Hugs and kisses,
