Right, don't let Coletti near any more Heinlein ð.
Edit: Ah! I looked it up, or him up. Robert Heinlein, the author of Starship Troopers. I'm embarrassed I did not recognize the reference to the author who's book I stole the idea from. ðģ ðĩ Well played royalchicken.
Just 2 add my 5 pence....
I was happy with Tony Blair before Bush appeared. I felt quite secure in the knowledge that he was a very very good statesman. He is the only Prime Minister i have ever liked (im only 25 so that only leaves 3, but whatever..)
I now however, do not feel safe in the knowledge that Tony Blair is a good statesman. That's not because he isn't, it's because the Bush administration have totally recked his image.
When the 'Dossier' scandal ('intelligence' dossier used as a basis for Iraqi invasion) broke, Bush, after recieving unlimited support from the British, turned around and blamed it on the British.
Now, i don't know if it was the British, but i do know that Bush saved his own ass at the expense of Tony's.
Now, before Iraq, Tony was popular (the most popular in 50+ years, if not ever). When he decided to invade Iraq, it fell a lot, but he was still as popular as any Prime Minister i've ever known. Parliament voted him 'Parliamentarian of the Year' this same year.
My point (yes there is one, honest) is that he remained popular for 5 years (easily this much, if not more). Once there was an expossed bit of flesh, the press/politicians/the public, started to attack it (as we are mean't to in a Democratic society). Unfortunatly for Tony, and any other political leader for that matter, is that political wounds never heal. Over time, people make mistakes, as he has (he's only human), however his mistakes have been repeated over and over in the press, giving the impression that he is a bit crap (or a lot crap).
Basically what im getting at, is that it is not possible to be popular all the time. No leader can serve their whole term without recieving critisism, once it starts, it just gets worse and worse and worse, until the public are sick of hearing about it, spelling the end. (This is how it works in the UK, but i wouldn't be suprised if it's the same all over).

millitary men should never be in government - in my opinion that is - here in Israel it's been done almost to death (and by that I mean the death of everyone living in the region)

Sorry, I'm kirk's daughter.ðģI thought he had logged off and was on mine. Oh, I like Al Sharpton's hair! It's better than Clinton's. How come all our presidents have funky hair? If a woman ran for president would you guys elect her? What ever happened to John Edwards?
Here's my prediction, there will be a woman President of the US within the next 12 years, and she will be a conservative Republican. I don't think a liberal woman has any chance of winning.
