The grand daddy of all rights is the right to life, some people get confused and think this means others must provide you with the nessecities of life...THEY DO NOT.
What it means is that others do not have the right to take your life.
No if's or buts.
If the big guy's life is threatened he is justified in using any force neccessary to defend it.
