@shavixmir saidWell it was based on history unlike PF. Though I am always happy to see LA being represented.
It looks like utter crap.
What age are these students?
Shouldn’t you just show them pulp fiction instead?
@athousandyoung saidYou do understand this was the Brooklyn Dodgers, right?
Well it was based on history unlike PF. Though I am always happy to see LA being represented.
@suzianne saidI’m referring to . The Hawthorne Grill where this scene is set used to be a few miles from LAX.

@athousandyoung saidAhhh, my mistake.
I’m referring to . The Hawthorne Grill where this scene is set used to be a few miles from LAX.
Is the restaurant no longer there?
Oh, never mind. I just discovered that in June 1999 it was demolished to make way for an AutoZone, of all things.
@jimm619 saidYes and yes. In all my classes regarding American History, I never once learned about the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. One month shy of 101 years ago.
Ought to teach kids about,
'The Rosewood Massacre,' and
'The Tulsa Riots,' too.
@suzianne saidWhat you do not seem to grasp is despite your kind, caring attitude, you are in fact part of the problem. To me the fantastic message of this movie is about how far we have come and granted, we need to do more, but your insistence on making it a "group" issue does more harm than good. Sure there are racist out there but it is not helped by screaming out, at the slightest trigger, that the white people are the cause of all their problems. You cannot seem to acknowledge that they themselves are, at an individual level, the biggest part of the problem.
Is it a "white" problem?
Hardly.
You and yours simply force racist to dig in even more firmly.
Remember that love conquers, hate destroys.
Why are you filled with so much hate.
