That's the damn problem. It is the only thing I groin about Europe,
which is now my home: Everybody lives in fear of the damn anti-
Israeli fanatics, so authorities are extremely careful not to offend
the "community", so they don't riot or boycott Danish products or
threat with bombs.
So Israel, which belongs to the European and Western civilization
much more than Turkey (which has of 'European' just this side of the
Bosphorus and that's it), cannot freely engage in cultural activities*
because... the lyrics are too political. Bo - freakin - hoooo
But if a very talented Plestinian director makes a good documentary
(which already happened), it is awarded and praised and shown in
every film festival... why? Because the Jews won't go to the streets
waving AK-47's and skimasks, groining like monkeys about placing
bombs here and there.
And what if some very funny cartoon about Jesus Christ is made? Oh,
everybody will laugh and have a good time, and some associations of
journalists will give a prize to the artist. Why? Because those of us who
are Christians we won't go to the streets with dynamite belts, whining
about the offense to Jesus.
Why? Because tolerance is the name of the game. But in Europe
tolerance is being extended to those who are NOT tolerant in return.

According to simple himself, Iran should be bombed for the anti semetic comments of its president.
But an Israeli song that advocates bombing Iran should be allowed in an european song contest despite Israel not being European.
Israels behaviour is so abhorrent to Countries that they do not want to participate with them in sport and cultural links.
By allowing them to play sport in European events and "cultural" events is evidence of the fact that Europeans are TOO accepting of Israels continual expansion and aggression. They are obviously flaunting this and yet again. Attempting to upset and provoke is not a way to be accepted into cultural events.
That Authorities should not wish to offend is protrayed as a weakness.
Simple seitse has much to learn in life.

Isn't there a history of objections to the 'political' content of Eurovision songs? I seem to remember something about the Ukranian entry a year or two ago.

Why does Israel participate in a European contest? Can Senegal also field a contestant?
