Israel is part of the empire and so is the USA. The empire wants to put the Ben Gurion canal through Gaza. That explains the ethnic cleansing. It also explains why Yemen is making access through the red sea difficult. They are sending a message that a canal will do the empire no good if they cannot get through to the Pacific Ocean.
All they have to do is stop the ethnic cleansing and the Houthies will stop. Easy to do, but when people have well laid plans..........
A new canal is pretty important to the empire. Right now the USA bribes Egypt to get emergency passage through the Suez Canal by giving Egypt billions. Only Israel gets more money from the USA than Egypt.
