That's nothing. The budget guarantees a commitment to fund a US Army NASCAR sponsorship as well as a $20 million from the National Guard while they are cutting aid to veterans left and right. They say they need it as a recruiting tool. Pfft!!

I think there is a special place in hell for each and every one of these statists.

Oh? There is a special place in hell for each and every one of these statists? Did I say there was??? I Rec'd the article he posted and nothing more. Even thow I agree with him.
Are you one of those idiots that just wants to argue about something because they don't want to believe in God???

As in "God" and "Satan" and all that? You want to explain your question a little further???

Good article. Rec'd What is it about this post you don't seem to understand??
And don't manipulate my posts anymore for your anti God arguments.

Because, as you say, you "Rec'd the article he posted and nothing more", I asked you if you think there is "a special place in hell" for each and every one of what whodey refers to as "these statists". And now you've told me that you do. So that is sorted out. Now what was your question:

FMF: As in "God" and "Satan" and all that? You want to explain your question a little further???

So you believe that "God" will punish these politicians for being "evil" and for, in some way, doing "satan's" bidding? And your other question:

Are you one of those idiots that just wants to argue about something because they don't want to believe in God???

This strikes me as a loaded question. I am not an "idiot", if that's what you want to know.

(I think there is a special place in hell for each and every one of these stati)

Did you Notice Whodey said (I THINK!) His figure of speech meaning " I hope" As most idiots could figure out.

(And now you've told me that you do.)

Don't put words in my mouth, And where did I say that?? I'm hoping there's a special place in hell for them. But how would I know if there was??? How would I know who God is going to forgive and who He isn't?? I wouldn't and I don't of course.

(I am not an "idiot", if that's what you want to know.)

Well I think you are. So far You've done nothing but manipulate my posts, Put words in my mouth, to your convenance. It's clear you can't have a honest debate or response to my or someone elses post without your deception of the truth.

(This strikes me as a loaded question.)

The only thing loaded about this question is it's clearly the case with you.

The disillusionment with the Tea Party has begun. Debbie Dooley, who is a Tea Party Patriot national coordinator, said, "If Boehner agrees to a deal that fails to meet that threshold, then the GOP will have broken thier promise," according to the Wall Street Journal. The suggestion was presumably made in reference to a "Pledge to America" released by congressional Republicans last year outlining plans to reduce government spending. She went on to say, "If they fold on this, then they will fold on the debt ceiling and they will fold on budget 2012. Why should we trust them further to keep their promises?"

Basically, Boehner and company failed to live up to their promise in their pledge to America to cut spending by $61 billion. Instead, they settled on $38.5 billion.

As for conservatives and Libertarians alike, you know what you must do. You must help defeat John Boehner the next time he is up for reelection or the Tea Party might as well be dead. The GOP may not do what they say, but the Tea Party must.

I suppose a better question is should the Tea Party give up on the GOP altogether and begin their own party? Afer all, if you can't so much as cut the promised $61 billion, which is only 1.6% of the total spending, then what good are you?

Absolutist ideology, much?

Do you believe in compromise, whodey?

Edit: Also, "yes" or "no" -- should Republicans have refused a budget compromise, if they knew for certain that a government shutdown would have resulted?

One of my all-time favorite quotations, imparted, or perhaps paraphrased, by another (probably long-lost) member here at RHP:

"Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon.

Either Boehner and the GOP should have kept his promise or he should never have made it. It's not really anyones problem but theirs.

So considering compromise, the Dems proposed $30 billion and the GOP $61 billion. They settled on $38.5 billion. So who made the bigger compromise?

Boehner and the GOP are a spinless bunch and not up to the task at hand. Really not much more should be expected of them, so if voters want more done they need to go!!
