So here's my suggestion:

Why don't we all go out and talk to people, ask them what their religion is, and if they say anything at all (Christian, Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Jehovan Witness, Rastafarii, Baptist, Plymouth Brethren, Sikh, Buddhist, Elim, Shinto, Heathen, Gentile, Mormon, Pentecostal, Evangelical, Born Again Christian, Jahwe, Hindi, Judah, Confusian, Wesleyian, Muslim, Grungu, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Chess'is'God'innit, Moron, Ailavmaneeyonlee, Christian Scientist, Latter Day Saintists, Atheists, Disbeliever, Antidisestablishmentarianist, etc,. whatever)...

... so just ask them this question:

What if you're wrong?

If it were possible that you've been led up the garden path into the monkey tree and had your leg pulled or your arm twisted by stronger people than yourself, would you change anything in your life?

Or possibly a Moomin missionary?

We are already in a holy war, so there is no need to create one. The question is, when are we going to accept that we are in a holy war, and start fighting back. I personally don't mind the "war" aspect of it, as much as the thought that we will have to become more like our enemy, in order to defeat them. Defeating the radical muslims, will certainly bring ot our radical side as well. Unfortunately, our radical side is coming out now, and it is redneck. Fune, isn't it?

If the world was entirely Mormon, we w ...[text shortened]... nd nothing better to replace their philosophy. And it ain't from lack of searching.
I must admit, I agree with much of what you have said here. I grew up in a town that was extremely Mormon-ized (I'd say atleast 90% of the populace was at the Mormon church on any given Sunday). As much as I disagree with their theology, their principles are sound. You simply won't find a more positive and embracing community than a Mormon one. I do indeed admire the virtuous life style most Mormons live, and envy them in that.

You don't have to wait...the future is now.

Radical Apathy sounds too boring! Radicals are usually on the fringe. When they stir the normally apathetic majority to action, then we have a real revolution on our hands. If the radicals in our population become apathetic, then human progress will stop.I don't think this is possible on a global basis. It happened once in China, during the 60's and 70's, when they killed off all of their intelligensia. Finally, I think freedom of speech promotes radicalism. Which is to say, that it combats apathy.
