I think the posters here are more concerned with trolling you than attacking China. They seem to enjoy how bringing up news that casts China in negative light upsets you.

If for some reason you left RHP, threads about China would drop dramatically.
Ahhh,, think "causality", grasshopper

I said the posts would "drop dramatically", not that they would never be made.

You recently referred to the amount of threads attacking China as a "deluge". That's correct, but a major reason for that is because you're in a war with a lot of posters over China who just want to see your blood boil when negative news about China is made. This, more than any other factor, is responsible for the "deluge" of posts.

If you posted about Hispanics like you do about Asians, there'd be a "deluge" of posts attacking that demographic. If you were the same way about America, the non-American posters would flood RHP with threads about how crappy the U.S. is.

But the actions of the Myanmar people tell us, they have bitter feelings for the Chinese due to their treatment of Muslim, dark-skinned Chinese nationals, the Uyghurs.

------------------------

What I was referring to, Vivify, was the reason why the Myanmar refugees never
went to China, not why they lit t ...[text shortened]... se-owned factories on fire.

It's a "context" thing and perhaps I should have made it more clear.
By mentioning Uighur Muslims, you gave a false impression of what the article was saying, and an incorrect reason why refugees from Myanmar oppose China.

My guess is you were using this article as evidence that Muslims are outraged over China's treatment of Muslims. This is a completely different issue than opposing China over perceived support of their military government.

So Vivify caught Earl of Trumps LYING again. Deja vu.

Myanmar has long been deeply divided by fierce ethnic separatist conflicts.
Myanmar's overwhelmingly Buddhist people have little or no concern about
Muslim Uyghurs in faraway Xinjiang.

Again, what China needs most in Myanmar is stability to allow its economic projects to proceed.
China would have been content to allow Aung San Suu Kyi remain in office.
China has clashed before with Myanmar's military.

I would add that it's wrong to blame Mynamar's ethnic Chinese minority for the
supposed actions of China's government. It's just as wrong as it was for the USA
to blame its ethnic Japanese minority for Japan's aggression against the USA.

Okay, I'm at a loss as to why this post was deleted.

EoT: Whoa whoa whoa, who said that reason is incorrect? I'll say it again, the Myanmar refugees,
on foot, fled to all boarder countries *except* China. And I insist there is a reason for this,
and I think the reason is the Myanmar people know how the Chinese treat Muslims.

I believe this to be incorrect, Viv.

The Rohingya refugees were refusing to go to China when they fled in 2015, long before the Junta took power
----------------------------

The 2015 Rohingya refugee crisis refers to the forcible displacement of Muslim Myanmar nationals from the Arrakkan & Rakhine state of Myanmar to neighboring Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand in 2015, collectively dubbed "boat people" by international media.[1][2] Nearly all who fled traveled to Southeast Asian countries including Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand by rickety boats via the waters of the Strait of Malacca, Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea
---------------------------------------------------- Wiki

Nowhere do they mention the refugees fleeing to China. So the deep animosity toward the Chinese by the Rohingya
existed long before China could alienate the Rohingya by supporting the Junta currently in Myanmar. Fact, Jack.

One last item, Viv... I believe China is a neutral today.

Just a note about refugees fleeing for safety, or simply poor emigrants seeking a better life...
-------

According to data available at Wiki (somewhat dated), the Western nation that has taken in
the most Rohingya is the United States at 12,000. China has taken in 3,000 (figures could change in an update)

Much of Myanmar borders China, but also, when the Rohingya fled to Thailand, Bangladesh, Laos and others,
China was just a hop skip and a jump away from wherever the Rohingya settled in, in comparison to the distance to the US.

Apparently the Rohingya trust America a lot more than they trust China, who has a reputation of grossly abusing Muslims.

"Don't Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight, Part I"

APRIL 8, 20218:18 AM UPDATED AN HOUR AGO
Eleven killed as Myanmar protesters fight troops with handmade guns, firebombs

(Reuters) - Anti-coup demonstrators in Myanmar fought back with handmade guns and firebombs against a crackdown by security forces in a town in the northwest but at least 11 of the protesters were killed, domestic media reported on Thursday.

Initially, six truckloads of troops were deployed to quell protesters in the town of Taze, the Myanmar Now and Irrawaddy news outlets said. When the protesters fought back with handmade guns, knives and firebombs, five more truckloads of troops were brought in.

What some ignorant readers fail to realize is that Rohingya that already existed in
China *before* the exodus of 2015 do not count as Rohingya people who fled in 2015.

As we can clearly see, no refugees from the 2015 exodus went to China (or are in numbers too small to include)

It's a shame that ignorant readers have to use abusive, lying accusations that slow the flow of the thread.

Also, ignorant readers who made the claim that Rohingya refugees were not invited
into Western nations because they are racist, should apologize to all Westerners for slander.

If some guns can stop the U.S. military, you've just proven the government spends way too much on it.
