They think you are expressing yourself in a deliberately obnoxious way for amusement. They think you are trolling. They are expressing the same sentiment that led Greece to sentence Socrates to death for being irritating. They think you are playing rhetorical games to manipulate perceptions unreasonably like Sophists were said to do. They feel you are using "fighting words". But they can't express themselves so instead they escalate the level of violence.

I am not using "fighting words". When I think someone is evading a question, I ask it again. If they half answer it, I adjust the question accordingly. When I get an answer or if they ignore me, I stop. I don't see how anyone can think that verbal threats of violence on an internet forum are going to achieve anything.

I have been on-topic throughout. Surely talking about punching a fellow poster in the face or attempts to taunt him/her with speculation about their real-life circumstances is the "trolling"?

They are also indoctrinated with certain ideas via right wing media which want to smear Obama by suggesting that his incompetence led to a stupid plan with ineffective implementation which involved immense risk of civilian casualties.

It seems to me that it may well have been a stupid plan with ineffective implementation. But this talk of punching me in the face appears to have been caused by me suggesting that the plan's purpose was not to "create violence" but that it was, instead, a sting operation gone wrong.
