I must agree. While Obama has operated his war on terror with far fewer "boots on the ground" than GW Bush, I'm not impressed with his latest military action.

Just know that no one from the GOP will offer anything but more of the same.

So that leaves you to vote for Hillary in good conscience! 😵

And I like it.. eliminate them altogether.
When you find a den of rattlesnakes, the best way to kill them, is to wait for winter, then surround the opening with a fence, inside which, you put PIGS! As the snakes come out, the pigs eat them. their hide is too thick for a snake to bother... fits right in with these guys digging inside caves now doesn't it...:-) the other way is to twist a length of barbed wire down the hole, and pull them out in bunches,, slower, but still works..

The Iraqi Army has 300,000 men with tens of billions of dollars worth of heavy weapons provided by the US and other countries. The Kurdish Peshmergas have at least another 200,000 and various Sh'iite milities probably another 100,000 more. That's without even counting the Syrians. ...[text shortened]... s are solely involved in this affair for humanitarian reasons should strain even your credulity.
the us doesn't do this for the sake of the iraqis or any people in the region.

they can't allow IS to remain in the region and jeopardize oil production while making huge profits from the wells they (IS) control.

there is an iraqi army? i'll take your word on that. last time i checked it was completely disorganized and all those heavy weapons captured by IS.

Yes...I'll vote for Hillary if she runs. I share your frustration with this situation, but what's the alternative? If we elect some Johnny McCain type from the GOP, it will be an even bigger war with many more "boots on the ground" Sadly these are the only choices we'll have. A 3rd party candidate has not emerged to give us another choice, so I'll take the lesser of 2 evils.

I suppose a Rand Paul might be less likely than Hillary to support an actual US army in Iraq and Syria to fight ISIS though, unlike his father, he has come out in support of the air strikes (which is rather incongruous and ideologically incoherent).

I suspect that Rand Paul knows his position is incongruous, but recognizes that his father while being principled accomplished little.

Obama will put American boots on the ground. It has already been planned. He is just denying it right now because polls show little support for it. He will spring it on us later after the news media indoctrinates us with the right propaganda to move the poll numbers.

After enough fake beheadings and perhaps a false flag event Americans will be stupid enough to think the IS is pure evil. Never overestimate the intelligence of the sheep like American majority. The fake WMDs worked and the sheep are not bright enough to think for themselves.

Do only politicians fake beheadings? I was wondering if as a parent, employee or even in social settings I could use a fake beheading for my own purposes.

I'm not saying politicians are doing the fake beheadings.

Be of good cheer bill. How you and I vote is 100% meaningless. In the end, both parties will provide us an empty suit/dress to vote for who will do pretty much the same things. 😵

This is the ultimate absurdity.

"they can't allow IS to remain in the region and jeopardize oil production while making huge profits from the wells they (IS) control. "

If the US has any interest in middle eastern oil it is that it gets sold to the world market. Most of it goes to Europe now. Who cares who gets the profits?

The US hasn't learned anything from out own revolution. The most powerful nation on the planet (at the time) couldn't deal with a ragtag bunch of rebels across 3000 miles of ocean. We are going to be unable to successfully mold and dictate government and culture abroad.

Dead is dead. An execution is an execution. Whether someone is gassed, hanged, shot, electrocuted, given a lethal injection or beheaded, the action is irrevocable and the result is the same except more people on the other side get ginned up about executions by beheading.
