Your claim that it is doesn't make it one.

I thought you liked police states like Pinochet's?

I don't like police states, however the military takeover in chile prevented it from becoming a soviet pawn.

sometimes tough measures have to be taken.

I suppose you are deluded enough to believe that.

Ten of thousands of Chileans were killed in the military coup (and its aftermath) that ousted the elected government of Chile in 1973. Thousands more political prisoners were murdered by Pinochet's regime while he was in power and at least a quarter of a million Chileans were put in camps for political reasons. This site would prove interesting to non-fascists (so you have no need to read it): http://members.tripod.com/~mneumann/pinochet.html

Im not a fascist.

Im not saying that what pinochet did was right, Im saying that looking back, I see the regime as a less dangeorus alternative to a hard-left regime.

The Cuban regime wasn't democratically elected.

How many people were executed or imprisoned for their political beliefs under Allende?

Socialism is far too diverse to be considered a single form of government. It's like treating all 1. e4 openings the same. In Holland alone there are six different parties in parliament incorporating different aspects of socialism.
e4. Best by test.
