@averagejoe1 saidPresidents are often/usually/always scapegoats who are blamed for trends and occurrences that they could not have controlled in any scenario.
I do miss some posts because they veer of subject, which causes me to speed on through. As to repubs like me, I have indeed chastised some of Trumps actions, and his bad habits....like my analogy of the Dr with bad breath and drinks a lot, hates dogs, but is the best Dr in town. Uhhhh, Trump miiiiiiight not have our country underwater right now. A great president . America first, Shav. Not so, the plagiarizing, cheating (google it) Biden.
If a solar minimum happens to occur in August when stores are still selling lawn chairs and suntan lotion, of course that would be all Biden's fault. 😉
Plus, it has been reported that some companies have raised prices (contributing to inflation) not because their costs of production have gone up, but just because they see an opportunity to suck more profit out of the American economy.
But the resultant additional inflation will of course be blamed on Biden, which might help get more Republicans elected in the midterms and in 2024.
If being conservative means being a willing Renfield to manipulative economic vampires, then I will try to hold out for as long as I can.

@averagejoe1 saidLock them all up. Debate over.
Her husband made a controversial purchase of a computer chip stock ahead of a congressional vote on semi-conductor manufacturing. His wife controls these votes. Should he have benefitted from that? Does this not bother you? And you all rail on about these rich people getting rich, which has happened illegally right here right before your very eyes??!? Do you think he, ...[text shortened]...
You are a confusing lot. We conservatives I truly believe are only here for the entertainment.

@kevin-eleven saidThis post makes no reference to the Pelosis. It makes no sense😳. This is about clandestine activity by Spkr of the House. AND a bill was introduced in the house to stop such activity, she was against it, tabled it.

You should keep up, and you should also stick with the issue. I still don’t know what your post is about.
@averagejoe1 saidI already said something about Pelosi at the bottom of page one.

@averagejoe1 saidActually, she announced support for the bill in February. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/09/congress-moves-towards-banning-members-from-trading-stocks.html

AOC and other progressives sponsored such a bill more than 2 years ago. https://thehill.com/homenews/house/489076-house-bill-would-ban-stock-trading-by-members-of-congress/

@no1marauder saidknowing if and when this "stalled" bill would pass was not public knowledge...
Anyone who thinks that profiting from public information is "insider trading" is already confused.

@mott-the-hoople saidLMAO! Did you read the first sentence of your article:
knowing if and when this "stalled" bill would pass was not public knowledge...

"The Senate is poised to pass bipartisan legislation to boost domestic semiconductor chip production this week, with a final vote expected on Tuesday or Wednesday."
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/senate/senate-chips-semiconductor-funding-bill-vote
Yeah, whether a bill will be pass is completely unknowable to the public.
BTW, the reconciliation bill still hasn't passed the House; your own article says Pelosi is waiting to see if the Senate passes it.

This was well after the House and Senate had passed semiconductor bills but before any reconciliation vote had been taken in either (which still hasn't happened).

@no1marauder saidbut BEFORE anything was passed...who passes it, mcconnel and pelosi thats who.

@no1marauder saidOne more thing the Reps blocked. Now they want the high ground.

@mott-the-hoople saidWhat a bizarre mind-set you have in your world, where regular votes don't count.
but BEFORE anything was passed...who passes it, mcconnel and pelosi thats who.
@earl-of-trumps saidYou are perfectly free to vote against Republicans any time.
Notice, this disclosure is not causing a big ripple amongst Washington Repubs of stature.
I would bet my bottom dollar that is because some Repubs are doing the same thing as Nancy.
They're all corrupt. Jeeeezus. this is what happens when you let the wolves guard the chicken coop

@mott-the-hoople saidSo you think Pelosi's husband got non-public information from Mitch McConnell?
