@joe-shmo saidIt’s moot.
According to a Gallup poll.
30% US Identify as Republican
31% US Identify as Democrat
36 % US Independent
3% US Other
That implies at least, 26% of US believes there is some Gates/Government conspiracy.
(0.74)*(0.30) + (0.12)(0.31) = 26%
But alas, it turns out top be a misleading stat. They compare Republicans to people who voted for Clinton. Not Republicans ...[text shortened]... % of Democrats answered with True, not 12%. They leave out the "Not Sure". This is a Manipulation.
How many Americans believe in Gods?
Dumb arses.

How things have stayed the same.
@joe-shmo saidI did not quote from the article in my OP. I just linked to the article which shows the data that I mentioned. Everything I said was accurate.
They add the "True" and "Not Sure" together for the Republican Data. Leading one to easily incorrectly infer 74% Republican said "True". This is Manipulation.
Then they only Report the 12% of Voters of Clinton who said "True", but Leave out the "Not Sure" for that Group. This easily allows many to believe 82% of Clinton Voters believe it to be "False". This is yet agai ...[text shortened]... arizes with the widest gap possible! Another Manipulation! You are a truly wretched human being...
@shavixmir saidWhy should you care what I believe. I certainly do not care what you believe. I am just commenting on your manor point of view.
There is no God.
Grow up.
@Eladar
Don't worry what shag doody believes.
He believes that mayonnaise is supposed to be eaten with a spoon by itself so his beliefs are not taken seriously.
@sh76 saidI've done Market Research interviewing and from my experience this is a real effect. If you ask someone a stupid question, they give a stupid answer. Nevertheless, people also give the "correct" answer so the statistics are a little worrying.
I really don't know.
If someone intruded into my day to ask me if the Flying Spaghetti Monster had touched me with his noodly appendage, I'd absolutely consider playing along and answering yes.
@the-pickled-walrus saidGrowing up my sister had a friend who would eat miracle whip like that.

@kazetnagorra saidI didn't say you quoted, I said you summarized. Your summarization, while accurately citing what was reported by Yahoo implied that 26% of Republicans NOT BELIEVING the Conspiracy was comparable on equal logical footing to only 12% of Clinton Voters BELIEVING the Conspiracy. Its a common statistical manipulation. Your summarization leads most unknowing people into the false inference. It was deliberate!

@joe-shmo saidI’m sure that there is no shortage of poll questions where the results would lead to some conclusion of stupidity amongst a population.

And not necessarily just the US.
Why don’t we have a contest to put out as many questions as possible in this thread.
Hey. I’ll even start.
Do you believe that dinosaurs walked the earth 4000 years ago ? 😛
@joe-shmo saidI didn't summarize nor did I claim to, I took some data from the poll in order to make fun of people, not to "manipulate" anyone here. It's not like the usual suspects here would accept anything I say even if I was the Lord Saviour Jesus Christ coming down from the heavens to tell them Donald and Melania were interested in a threesome.
