@vivify saidWhat was weird was,
So many GOP members have to balls to stand up to Trump...after they lose their jobs.
one year ago, they all denounced
TRUMP, but now they're all back on the
reservation.....I would never, in my wildest dreams,
think I would express admiration for Liz Cheney.
She tore up a FOX reporter yesterday, I added
the link to my 'Liz Cheney-Patriot' thread........Check it out.
@jimm619
Not sure what this post is about, going to that link it seems to be about Pomp losing near 100 pounds. What has that got to do with truth?
Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of Pomp and circumstance eo๐
I think he is ready to do and say anything to get to be the next POTUS nominee.
Extremely republican, NEW ZOMBIE repub that is.
@sonhouse saidRead it again. It is about Pompeo LYING about his weight loss.

He claims to have lost 90 pounds in six months.
People struggle to lose 50 pounds in 18 months.
More lies from Republicans, who knew? Lying is slowly transforming from a bad thing that they didn't want to be caught doing, into a point of pride that they are 'just like Trump'.
It's all about the "Look at me. See how great I am." This always involves lying. Trump just personifies this basic Republican DNA moment. They all do it now.
@suzianne saidRight on, Suzi Q

I did it through a very low-carb diet, not drinking and walking up to 10 miles a day.
It can be done if one has the time.
Keeping it off is another story.
@pb1022 saidCongrats, I'm the opposite,

difficult or me to gain weight.
But walking 10 miles certainly
took more than '30' minutes a day.

If you really did this, you made grievous sacrifices to your general health. You probably looked and felt like death warmed over for quite a while until your body recovered.
Doing stuff like this is a quick way to the hospital for most. Dehydration is only one side-effect. Your body really doesn't like to be malnourished, either. Massive weight loss can also trigger auto-immune conditions to be life-threatening.
@suzianne saidThe Doctor said, to me,
"Look at me, See how great I am."

''You've got a bone density problem.''
I said, ''Osteoporosis?
Impossible Doc, that's a woman's disease.''
He said, ''That's O.K., you're anorexic too.''
@suzianne saidYes, I really did this and don’t appreciate your insinuation that I’m lying.

And I made no grievous sacrifices to my general health and was regularly visiting my general practitioner during that time period. I neither looked nor felt like death warmed over as I got adequate rest. I actually felt good, and except for one instance of having Lyme disease, which I quickly recovered from with oral antibiotics, I had no ill effects.
When I said I wasn’t drinking, I was referring to beer. I drank plenty of water. I wasn’t malnourished nor did I have auto-immune problems.
As I said, I was regularly visiting my doctor during this time period and he knew everything I was doing.
But thanks for asking questions instead of drawing false conclusions from a position of ignorance.

And I only posted what I posted to refute your assertion that Pompeo was lying when he said he lost 90 pounds in six months.
But you’re so incredibly partisan - and obnoxiously so - that anyone who’s not a Democrat and on “your team” is an evil lying SOB who deserves nothing but suspicion and ridicule.
Your hyper partisanship - and refusal to see anything good in someone who’s not on your political “team” - is the reason America’s so divided and in the sorry state it’s in.
@suzianne saidAnd as a last post to you, I strongly suspect that if you heard a drunken Congressman had driven his car onto a sidewalk and killed a child, you wouldn’t know how to react to the news until you learned the political party of the Congressman.

@Suzianne
I am 6' 1" and used to clock in at 100 Kg, 220 pounds or so.
I thought that was too much so I slowed down on eating for about 4 months and now am 180 which my wife thinks is too skinny. Seems easier to climb our first set of stairs, getting up another on slows me down a bit but I am grateful to just alive at 80๐
Another benefit, at 100Kg I had high blood pressure and took Valsartin but when I lost that 40 pounds my BP normalized, running around 120/80 so right now I take no meds at all. I think I chose the right parents๐
