I think it is anger. Anger at an elitist attitude and corruption in both parties.
But why do we keep electing elitists?

It seems like every election is filled with candidates talking about how they're "an outsider" or how they "drive a truck" or how they decided to personally walk through every town in the state.

And then the next election comes, and the government is still in the hands of elitists. So out come all of the same worn-out populist cliches. Again.

The same anger behind the Brown election was behind the elections of 06 and 08. It's important to figure out what is behind it. It was never really about Bush's wars and it's not really the recent economic downturn (although both these things haven't helped the public's mood)

Obama (and everyone else in politics) need to figure ...[text shortened]... k the government works anymore.

Obama needs to figure out how to deal with this.

In control theory, a bang–bang controller (on–off controller) is a controller that switches abruptly between two states. These controllers may be realized in terms of any element that provides hysteresis. They are often used to control a plant that accepts a binary input, for example a furnace that is either completely on or completely off. Most common residential thermostats are bang-bang controllers.
