Well, I finally have figured out the definition of racism , a word bandied about on the forum every 8 minutes.
It is what one sees when they see a photo or a painting (or a mural) with no depiction of a black person. Link will explain.

@averagejoe1 saidActually it explained nothing but the aversion of right wingers to the truth. From the Report's conclusion:

"We must emphasize the idea that the traditional story of the founding fathers is not the whole story. There were women,
Indigenous Americans, and enslaved people who contributed. Freedom wasn’t fully chartered by the three documents in the Rotunda. It took many additional documents, court decisions, and movements to approach that goal. It is time for the National Archives to embrace the complexity of this story, to
encourage discussion of our difficult and divided history, and to acknowledge, welcome, and include the entirety of We the People in the experience of its signature space. As one staff member commented, the Rotunda “should ideally connect all Americans to NARA and the history of the U.S., not just white Americans."

This is real history, not the biased fairy tale all Americans have been exposed to.

@no1marauder saidYou and your link are exactly right, of course. But my post is limited to the foolish liberal ideas of not liking the murals, as there are no black people represented,, and you just go crazy. Yes, black people did commendable things, brought things to light. I have no idea why there are no blacks depicted, maybe the moment caught in the mural was only attended by white people.

Why do libs grab something like this at every chance they get, to just go crazy? Can they ease up a bit,.... we get it. Jesus. I truly believe that y'all could find racism if my neighborhood team was named The Mud Daubers. Why, that is racist!!!! It is becoming tiring. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

@liljo saidBut sadly, I believe that with those steps, they will get where they are going. Pray for your children. Libs are a machine. At least everything will be equal. All the same. Bill will help Lao build his hut, and then Lao will help Bill build His hut.

@averagejoe1 saidExcept there is nothing in your article nor in the Report espousing "not liking the murals, as there are no black people represented". It does state regarding the Rotunda:

By recontextualizing the murals and architectural elements and installing a new exhibition in the Rotunda, NARA can create a more inclusive and historically accurate tribute to the nation’s founding.
Immediate/Short-Term Action Items
● Add labels to one of the Rotunda cases addressing the lack of representation and predominant focus on the men who framed the founding documents. These labels could also address efforts to reimagine the Rotunda for the future.
● Initiate planning for a new Rotunda exhibit that explores the roles of women, enslaved Africans, and Indigenous Americans in the founding of the United States along with contemporary views on the men who framed the founding documents and their participation in and positions on slavery.
● Consult with members of the community, historians, museums with related missions, and other advisors for guidance on creating an inclusive story of the founding.

So the ones "going crazy" are gullible right wingers like yourself.
@no1marauder saidI’ve heard the saying. Your seething anger and cutting insults will never do anything—nothing at all—to forward the progress you speak of. But I do realize you absolutely cannot help it.

I’d wager I have a LOT more POC in my life than you can imagine. But carry on with your falsehood and very unjust accusations.

The post that was quoted here has been removedThankyou, a nice honest reasoned post, no ad hominem! Thankyou.
Marauder has done his research, but note that the heading of article has "Racism" in it. I am a 'speed reader' of the old days, had to be, so in my haste, I overlooked the point of Marauder. But it still remains, Racism seems to be a BIIIIIG deal, and the constant dwelling on it bores me. Everybody gets it. One can find race to be quite irrelevant anymore, like I do, or dwell on it and bore the forum.

@no1marauder saidNo, the ones who suffocate us with threads on Racism....are the ones "going crazy'. Libs always write about racism. Why is that?

I guess because it's a problem that most whites, esp. right wingers, don't want to do anything to address leaving POC permanently disadvantaged.

@no1marauder saidThere are many testimonials of black people in these troubled times, moist specifically in the Critical Race Theory crap news, that there is no racism in their lives and there is opportunity , and that they do not feel disadvantaged. They are interviewed all the time, but will not be featured on your news outlets.
