Half the business executives CNBC surveyed said abortion laws could impact their location decisions. Only 20% said they would not.
Just one example is Disney has announced it will delay the move of 2,000 employees in the company’s Imagineering division from California to a new campus in Lake Nona, Florida until 2026. The move was supposed to begin this year. The company stands to collect $578 million in state tax credits for the move. “It has an economic ripple effect where companies who are trying to attract top talent realize that they can’t do that in a state that doesn’t welcome a diverse populace,” said Florida State Representative Anna Eskamani.
The fast-rising number of female CEO's and CFO's have little patience with states who wish to restrict a women's right to an abortion. Red States must think long and hard about the lost tax revenue if these business's move away.

@mchill
No I think you're wrong.
Most people are smart enough to not get pregnant when they don't want to be.
So overturning Roe vs Wade isn't a big deal for most people.
Poor dumb people will be affected because it's usually poor dumb people who are stupid and get pregnant when they don't want to be.
Those same dumb poor people usually vote democrat anyway.

The CEO's would disagree with you - but what do they know...right? 😏

They can't bury it now, but they'll still wait 'til after the election to attempt to minimize blowback.
@lipareeno saidThis simply makes sense.

@vivify saidI think you are correct. Perhaps @No1Marauder will learn from you. He won't listen to me
Overturning Roe will only embolden their base. Republicans have momentum, a packed SCOTUS and a feeling that they can accomplish anything. They are probably more fired up now than they have been in decades, at least before Trump.

I understand they are going to lose about $300 million on their film "Lightyear" because it is a gay kiddie movie.
Groomers. and they can't understand why people world-wide won't go see it. Sad
@lipareeno saidDisney is making cuts because they are losing money with that woke crap.

Their stock is half what it used to be?
They are making cuts and delays because of money and not because of some abortion law.
That's right, just keep telling yourself that.
@earl-of-trumps saidThe new Indiana Jones movie coming out next year might help unless Harrison Ford has a heart attack before it finishes.
