YOU are the one saying it was the Rocketfellers who pushed Vance. I knew about that jerk weeks ago and it was Vance's mentor who walked Vance into Trump's office and urged him to take on Vance as VP.
Thiel is a multi billionaire and I have no doubt a significant check came with the recommendation.
