@metal-brain saidI didn't hear of that.
Romney cannot be trusted. His recent idiotic comments about Tulsi Gabbard being a traitor proves that. He owes her an apology.
What did he say?
@metal-brain saidI would have just called her an idiot, and left it at that.
Romney cannot be trusted. His recent idiotic comments about Tulsi Gabbard being a traitor proves that. He owes her an apology.
But I expect an apology would be in order for that too.
@metal-brain saidNo he doesn't. "Traitor" may be a bit much, be she certainly deserves derision.

@metal-brain saidThank you, Putin apologist. I think Mr. Romney would be a reasonable POTUS, despite having religious beliefs or at least pretending to.

@metal-brain saidOK, so a Romney/Gabbard ticket in 2024. That would be okay.
Tulsi Gabbard reacts to Romney accusing her of 'treasonous lies'.

@jimm619 saidAs Bill Maher said with more eloquence than I can, the media's vilification of Milquetoast (and downright heroic) Republicans like McCain and Romney set the stage for Trump.

@sh76 saidI like Maher. I've been watching him since I was kid when he had Politically Incorrect.

But one thing he constantly does is blame the behavior of Republicans on Democrats. For example, he once addressed why Republicans vote for candidates who outwardly display despicable traits and behavior. His answer? Dems being "woke".
So Republicans support racist habitual liars because Dems use terms like "Latinx"? As brilliant as I think he often is, Maher makes some spectacularly stupid conclusions.
That said, I haven't watched his piece mentioned in the link, I'll check it out later. I will say that Romney was on Trump's side when a promotion was up for grabs. What if Romney was actually chosen for Secretary of State? Would he still stand up to Trump?
“Because this won’t be like any entanglement America has ever entered into before. A potential war with Russia is not comparable to Iraq or Afghanistan. This is an eight-year-long, smoldering conflict in which peace agreements have been routinely violated by both sides. It concerns a country in which Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Mitt Romney have direct financial interests—a country whose government only exists because the Obama State Department helped to overthrow the previous regime,” Greene added

Naturally, Romney attacked Greene's character afterwards. Anybody who is against Biden's Ukraine policy is attacked by Romney. I wonder what Romney's financial interests are in the Ukraine. Hmmmmmm...
