Gee, maybe we could give Blacks whatever territory they desire and turn a blind eye to them killing, dispossessing and oppressing those who currently live there.
OMG

So are you saying that Jews have been compensated for historical oppression by the fact that Israel exists?

If not, please enlighten me as to what you are saying.

They're overrepresented in U.S. sports, not other forms of entertainment like movies, music, television, etc.

But point made: just because Jews have succeeded doesn't mean they're not due their just compensation.
It would be utterly impossible to compensate Jews for 2,000 years of murder and oppression in Europe and trying to do so on a compulsory basis (i.e., through taxation) would be utterly unfair to the people living today who had nothing to do with it.

That's my point.

Of course it's not going to happen, but these are real recommendations put forth by a government-appointed commission. Like any government statement, it's fair game for analysis and ridicule, as the case may be.

Just calling it BS doesn't change that.

Europe can still do something rather than nothing.

Europe can treat all people equally and properly. That's enough. For example, as much as I'd love to have some extra money, to force the German taxpayers to pay me because the Nazis killed my great grandparents and drove out my grandparents is not fair to the current German taxpayer, who had nothing to do with it. I suppose that if they wanted to give me the Berlin flat that my grandfather was forced to abandon when he ran for his life, I'd take it, but is that really fair to the current occupant, who probably bought it with hard earned money and almost certainly had nothing to do with driving out my grandfather?

Youtube video just out showing a female member of the Board of Supervisors gushing over how much she supported all 100 of the proposals and is behind them all 100%.
It's a disgusting display of white liberal virtue signaling, and the crowd applauded her.
May she get what she deserves.

Recipients of reparations in the U.S. often don't get that, which is a direct result of past crimes against them. The bigotry they experience doesn't magically end once those crimes stopped; they tend to continue for decades.

Jews didn't automatically start being treated fairly when the Holocaust ended.

May she "get what she deserves"? What does that mean?

The world will better off once people like you die off.

It's an old Hebrew saying, I believe.
It means what it says, good or bad, may she (or he) get what he/she deserves.
What's wrong with that?
I hope you eventually get what you deserve.
If you take that as an insult, you have some kind of guilty baggage in your trunk.

Surely reparations for the Holocaust were a prime reason for international support for the founding of that imperialist State.

Your point is BS anyway; the US is hardly responsible for 2000 years of oppression of the Jews, who are hardly victims of any type of economic discrimination now in this country.

Contrast that with the experience of blacks in the US; almost 250 years of slavery, another close to 100 of government mandated segregation and still existing systemic discrimination. And that past and present discrimination has left blacks as a group in a far inferior economic position.

Reparations had nothing to do with it. Acceptance of the idea that Jews need our own state as a sanctuary when threatened with genocide and when the rest of the world bars its doors against Jewish refugees at the Bermuda Conference is not "reparations."

If you can find evidence of current "systemic discrimination" (more than just discriminatory outcomes) then those should be fixed.

Baloney. Where were Jews threatened with genocide after the destruction of the Nazi State? Instead. Israel was created knowing full well that the Jews there would engage in large scale Crimes against Humanity like ethnic cleansing.

It's too pointless to show right wingers continued evidence of systemic discrimination against Blacks in the US; they constantly ignore such facts. Anyone who denies blatant racism and even accepted stereotypes still adversely effect Blacks economically in the US is self-delusional.
