If, for instance, a person were to undertake such a venture, and only the new people 'bought it' (as you alluded), wouldn't those older members appear just the least bit insane, comically over-reacting to every invisible slight--- otherwise non-existent-- ...[text shortened]... ed in compelling soap opera narratives.
