You've just answered the question. Wealth and connections will take people further than talent. This is nothing new and explains Hill's success more reasonably than racism does.
After a quick Google search, Hill also seems to be very fit and appears to have no qualms about showing off her body; women with sex appeal are often much more successful as celebrities than women who just rely on accomplishments.

So you cannot tell me a number, not even an estimate.
Can you tell me one company that practices institutional racism?
Police officers explain how they’re encouraged to act in racist ways
@vivify saidOnce again you are looking at socio-economic not racism.

I am interested in things like job opportunities and college entrance. All things being equal, what companies are practicing racism.
What people label racism is actually money and family connection. It explains why so many white people do not get special treatment.
The post that was quoted here has been removedSuccess from white privilege is indirect instance of racism that broadly affects everyone. By singling out Lhakpa, the OP is alleging a *direct* instance of racism; as if Lkahkpa was ignored either deliberately or subconsciously because of racism. We can't know that.
If both were equally well-connected and wealthy, there would be more of a case for racism. Also, Hill has a well-toned body and doesn't seem to mind showing it off. As unfair as this may be, sex appeal gives women an advantage. I haven't been able to find any pictures of Lhakpa that were anything other than modest.
If Lhakpa was a photogenic Asian who didn't mind displaying her body (like with Hill), there's a good chance she would be celebrity as well.
Tila Tequila, an Asian woman, became famous on nothing but her looks. She didn't seem to have any particular talents apart from being sexy. This is the (sad) reality for many women pursuing fame.
The post that was quoted here has been removedYou just don't have a case here.
Lhakpa is not conventionally attractive while Hill at least has a fit body that she's willing to show off. That fact, more than any other would propel Hill to stardom above Lhakpa. I already mentioned Tila Tequila, a Kardashian-like woman who's only recognizable talent is looking attractive. The fact that she's Asian didn't keep her from being the most popular person on the (then) most popular social media platform, which in turned launched her celebrity status.
Add to this the fact that Hill is wealthy and well-connected, direct racism becomes less of a factor. If Sherpa looked like Tila Tequila, chances are very high that she would've garnered some type of sponsorship.
The post that was quoted here has been removedThis occurred long after her celebrity faded. She became a star on MySpace, the then most popular media platform, around 2007. Whatever Tila Tequila posted in 2013 was after she was no longer marketable. Doesn't change the fact that a clearly unintelligent idiot became famous for nothing more than looking attractive. Her being Asian was no barrier to fame.
Duchess has a bad habit of attributing things that clearly have nothing to do with racism to anti-Asian bigotry.
Any criticism of the Chinese government, despite clearly being oppressive authoritarian regime, automatically garners screams of "racism" from Duchess. I once pointed out that the wife of a notoriously dirty politician, Mitch McConnell, has had allegations of using her government position inappropriately; this also resulted in cries of racism from Duchess, because McConnell's wife happens to be Asian. Never mind that I'm a vocal critic of the Republicans; Duchess just had to accuse me of racism.
Duchess even accused RHP forum posters of racism against her, until it was pointed out that no one on this forum knew her race, because Duchess refused to ever state what it was. Only recently did Duchess hint at possibly being Asian, but did so in a way that indicated she's not really sure what race she is. Duchess ended up saying most people regard her as "white".
When Duchess weakens any argument she puts forward about alleged racism when makes threads like this that lack any critical thought, or constantly screams "racism" at the drop of a hat.
