He knows however he won't ever be able to convince a majority of americans his ideas are better. Republicans haven't won the popular vote in like 20 years and the gap is increasing. They have to resort to gerrymandering and making sure the "wrong" people don't vote

It is not what I would mind, it is my saying that having the EC is the only way to keep 51% of those who vote from ruling all the rest. Please don't be mad. After all there are millions of people, including Sam Adams and Benjamin Franklin who think. like me, that it is the best way to run a system.
I ask again, why do some votes in the Senate,, or in a condominium development, require a 2/3 vote? Why?

NO. I will even go so far as to say that, if 2/3 of the people, (66😵) vote on something that I am against, I will respect the vote and go with it in a heartbeat, I will feel that the pulse of the vote would have worth. I, as a member of the losing side, will have had my say.

One can hardly argue with 66% of the people,, but it would be difficult to accept just a majority. Not enough teeth.

When the Framers wanted an extramajority requirement, they wrote it into the Constitution. Something like the present system where routine legislation can't be passed except by 60 votes in the Senate is contrary to their expressed wishes.

The senate rules are not the same rules as the election of a President, so I don't get your comparison. I simply mentioned the senate rules as applying to the more important votes, where more than 50% would be called for.
I thus asked, why not the same percentage for something as important as installing Joe Biden as president?

I don't know anything about Jan 6, and the 16 months of one-sided inquests do not see Trump getting indicted that I can tell. So, the Jan 6 thing is worth nothing.

Mob rule is an oft used phrase where the lesser of a crowd are overrun by the larger, being the mob.

You see,, the Republican candidates got the WH with a Majority of the Electoral College Vote... THAT is how the Repubs got the WH. They did NOT get the WH with a minority of the popular vote.
