Let's not stretch the facts now. I know Canada has sent troops to Afghanistan and for that I am thankful. The US has had troops there since 2002 and has never left the place. No one has fled to Iraq. By the way which Canadian outfit did you serve in Afghanistan?

the question is JIM...WHAT THE HECK ARE US TROOPS DOING IN AFGANSTAN FOR 6 YEARS

...they dont seem to have made much of a diffirence... infact that country has got worse now!

Probably due to the fact that other than the US, Brits, Canadians, and the Dutch no one else is engaging the Taliban. The French I understand they suck at soldiering. It's the Germans that I'm suprised about. I guess Merkel has stood them down.

I was responding to dsr's "joke" that canada doesn't have amilitary...

so let me get this right, you are telling me that for the last 6 years the might of the USA, UK, Canada and Holland have sent their best men there, spend vast amounts of money and still very little prograss?
