The most charitable thing I can say about the IPCC, sponsored by the U.N., is that it is a political document, rather than a scientific one. In defiance of standard scientific standards, the IPCC reached its conclusion first and then told the "scientists" (where I come from, we call people like this "whores"😉 to provide the facts. As far as I know, most scientific experiments proceed in the reverse order of this. So my hat is off to the U.N. for its novel approach to science. Also, the IPCC's policy recommendations are based on flawed statistical analyses and procedures that violate general forecasting principles:
Unless anyone can provide figures & sources that contradict the United Nations Environment Program then you must accept global warming as an empirical fact.

Global warming isn't empirical fact, and the UN proclaiming it as such only damages the case.
After all, aren't they the folks that gave us such great scams as Oil for Food programme

If either of you two have a filet knife we can fry up red herring and then put it to good use. 🙂

What will really prove interesting is what will the UN do with the information the Chicoms gave to the UN that Iran is trying to obtain nuclear weapons ..... and why did the Chinese narc on the Iranians?
I have a Bowie knife...will that do?

Actually it does snow here about once every 10 years.
Originally posted by zeeblebotYou have never lived here. We are 350 miles south of Oklahoma but only 150 miles north of Mexico. To get to El Paso you travel in a northwesterly direction. Waco is central Texas. Corpus Christi is 150 miles south right on the Gulf of Mexico.
san antonio is more like central texas. if i'd put "snowing in corpus christi ... AGAIN!", people'd be scratching their heads.
born in corpus and raised in san antone and corpus 🙂 ...
see? san antone is -barely- south of houston.
if you drew circles on the map for five regions, n, s, e, w, and central, san antonio would be in the central circle. maybe overlapped by the south circle if overlap is permitted ...
san antone is close to mexico, but to the southwest, not directly south.

El Nina causes cooler weather. El Nino causes warmer weather. El Nina is coming to end right now.
