@mott-the-hoople saidAnd what have the Conservatives done for us? We've been hearing from you yo-yo's for 40 years that "competition between companies will lower drug prices" In that same time prices for prescription drugs have skyrocketed.

Taking a peek in your own backyard before criticizing others isn't in the GOP playbook, is it? 🙄

@mott-the-hoople saidActually they estimate that allowing the Government to negotiate drug prices for Medicare patients will reduce the cost to the Federal Treasury by $265 billion over 10 years.

@averagejoe1 saidHow big a clown are you Joe? Should we all start building our own individual pharma companies? You illiberal’s really have no idea how the big bad world works do you.

Pharma companies have been ripping off the US purse and public for decades. What this bill does is allow the US purse to use its purchasing power to force a better deal out of them, in much the same way that McDonald’s and Burger King get good deals on potatoes and beef from those that produce them. Economies of scale are part of free market mechanics. It might be a bitter pill for you corporate whores to swallow but the common man has no beef with it.
