I would argue with you about who uses the tabloid method, me or you.

To me, you seem like an ordinary lefty who can't decide if it wrong to behead innocent people with dull knives. But I don't have much good to say about pseudo liberals.
well like U i also like to have fun by words. And no i am not a Lefty as you put it. i used to be quite left wing in my younger days, but you will be surprised to know that i may have a lot more in common with you then you think!!!

Anyway.... the point is that on these forums a lot of rubbish is talked and sometimes you have to talk at that level to make yourself understood to some of the 'posters.'

By the way was i right when i said you used to be a Defensive lineback?

back to this thread.... do you really think what is going on in Iraq is good for the world?

I played football on both sides of the ball. Half-back on offense and whereever they needed me on defense. I did play virtually all positions on defense at one time or another. I had an academic scholarship to the University of Wyoming so they also gave me a walk-on football scholarship, which means that I was to be on the practice squad and could earn a role onto the varsity. I turned it down to accept an appointment to the US Military Academy.

As to what's good for the world... It would be extremely silly of me to claim to know that. I do have a sense that the movement that pervades Islam right now isn't good, and that history has shown that to ignore fanatics emboldens and stengthens them. I have no use for religion. Especially that of the seventh century. So by putting a POTENTIAL democracy right down in the middle of the mess, I think that in twenty years it will either be gone and in it's demise help crystalize the eyes of the world to the danger of "Islamic Republics", which it would become... or should it miraculously survive... it will be a pain in the side of the beheaders.

Besides. What is so important that the world should have an easy time of it? Only simpletons would assume that fanatics long for an easy route. We who oppose them must not seek out comfort, but the difficulty of war. The sooner the better, if history teaches anything.

I am interested to know if you were aware of Islam untill 7/11?

You say that you have no use for Religion... so you dont beleive in GOD?

..and why do you always refer to Arabs and Muslims as 'beheaders'?

Zogby. His poles indicate that the majority of both Arabs and Muslims support the beheaders and the establishment of Islamic Republics ... which is a shorthand term for the return of the Caliphate and the establishment of the one government, which is god.

And old Zogby knows his polling, being both Arab and Muslim.

I don't believe in God as a being. I do believe in god as the inborn thing that every human posesses that allows us to shiver at the unknown and unknowable. And the myth of god is too important to discard. It teaches and guides all of us to know good from evil.

I studied Islam as a curiosity as a child. Several books. But I did that with all religions.

Its interesting that you say you dont believe in God but you studied all religions.. i wonder what made you do that?

If you dont believe if God.. how do you think we got here? How was the world created?

What happens to the soul of the person who dies?

LOL

I just said I don't believe in god and now you want me to be god!?

I will only say that in all cases, simplify, simplify, simplify.

If you add God to the top of what we KNOW to exist, ie, this planet and us... then where did god come from? Who or what made god? You see the added complexity to our KNOWN state? Who needs confusion? We are confused enough.

Besides -- if there is a god... he and I are on the same relationship as a human is to a maggot. I have never created a single world. Never mind 100 billion galaxies... each with their 200,000,000,000 stars... each star with its planets. I built a few houses. What should I worry about god for? He can take care of himself.

Seem to be doing fine. But it's hard to judge from in here. All I can see is what I can see. lol

Trapped! Locked away in the vault of time, bursting toward oblivion and the unknown.

Yea. I can do without gods and the like. All it requires is effort and the ability to laugh.
