@earl-of-trumps saidAll the time, actually.
Thought for the day:
Has anyone actually seen a liberal talking about how to pare down racism?
I never have.
It is called education.
And hey, guess who is constantly standing in the way of education? Guess who objects to teaching about racism—even slavery!—in classrooms, and with increasing vehemence in recent years?
I'll wait while you spin those tiny little cranial cogwheels over this bedeviling riddle.
@soothfast saidChoose: teach about improving your life, self reliance, responsibility, obeying law, charity and the many other virtues....Or, OR, teach about violent history. If you choose the latter, my children will have learned the former, and be hiring your children.

@averagejoe1 saidYou do this "one or the other" thing a lot. Do you realize this? I've noticed.

Serious question: Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? Most folks can. Maybe you're one of those rare exceptions.
That point I'm getting at is that teaching about racism and tolerance is not mutually exclusive with teaching other subjects. Please, let that sink in before you start blithering again, because it is a really simple idea.
@averagejoe1 saidGod damn fukking moron.

How are you supposed to learn to be better if you can’t reflect on the past?
Edit: also, what Soothfast just said.

@earl-of-trumps saidWhy are you in such denial?
@Suzianne said -
"You Republicans always make the debate mistake of thinking that we think like you do.
Is this why you don't like to talk about real racism, preferring to couch it in other terms (like "culture" )?
--------------------------------------------
Better question,, Susieanne, why do you insist on talking about racism so much? ...[text shortened]... ] people and you know it.
You want to talk about racism,, Susie?? Ok, why are you such a racist??
@jj-adams saidStop lying you burnt all the history books for younger students last year and now you’re working your way up the grades. Ultimately you’ll ban everyone from mentioning anything that you do not like the sound because that’s what fascists do, you cannot stop yourselves from careering into despotism.
Kids are taught about evil racist America from kindergarten on, they don't need any more training in how to hate America in college or anyplace else, we are constantly bombarded with media claims of how awful the USA is......while whites are led like lambs to the slaughter.
It’s a pity you’ve probably banned ‘1984’ already, you could’ve used aspects of it in your policy statements for the 2024 elections.

@soothfast saidNaaaa,, I think I make a good point. You rabble rousers are stirring a hell of a lot, which you cannot deny. This is just another ploy to indoctrinate and mold the minds of our children.

Certainly you know that we wonder what y'all are up to? Like your commie friends, the chinee, having spy stations popping up all over America and buying up real estate? What is up with your lot?
I wish they and you would leave us the hell alone.
How bout Soutfast wanting to end multiple choice, his first sentence above? Are you a controlling person? Why dont you put out an alert to the monitors, AvJoe upsets and offends me with his confusing choice posts.
Geez what a weenie. I cant imagine, no choice. But you want a woman to have a pro-life choice. Libs will tell us when choice is appropriate?? You may be the most conflicted of all posters.

@shavixmir saidOur schools. and students including me, have gotten along with school curriculum just fine for, golly, 200 years. I got a hell of an education...................all without such indoctrination.
God damn fukking moron.

You fellers don't consider collateral damage. like one real whitey-hater who teaches 'a little differently' than a thoughtful teacher down the hall. Divide 'em all up, Shav. Shine a light on the different cultures or whatever you are doing.
Hey did you see above, Sootfeast wants to do away with choice in the threads. It proves my preaching that choice is one of our bedrocks......Marxists etc want to limit choice, as does Soofast. Brrrrrrrrrrrr
@averagejoe1 saidliberals must keep racism alive, they depend on chaos

@suzianne saidI don't understand your post, Suzianne. I did give a thumb up to Mott's post above, y'all really do like to shake things up. I bet you have been 'in a street' before. What a life. Wonder what I was doing that day...................

@mott-the-hoople saidEnd chaos by pretending that things don't exist.
liberals must keep racism alive, they depend on chaos
@averagejoe1 saidAgain, it is a really simple idea.

Walk, chew gum. Walk, chew gum. See how it works?
Now, once you get the rhythm of it, substitute "teaching about racism and tolerance" for "walk," and "teaching other subjects" for "chew gum."
Simple, right?
None of this has anything to do with:
1) Commies
2) Rabble rousers
3) Indoctrination
4) You "making a good point" (others usually decide this)
5) Spy stations
6) Buying real estate
7) Not leaving you alone
8) Ending multiple-choice
9) The messenger being a "controlling person"
10) Alerts to the monitors
11) "No choice"
12) The self-styled "pro-life" movement
13) Conflicted posters
14) "Libs"
15) The rest of your drivel
Did you read my other post about getting screened for dementia? This post of yours is what I mean about you being "all over the place." You have the debating skills of a chimp.
What is at issue here, again, is your propensity to treat things as mutually exclusive when they are in fact not.

@averagejoe1 saidBut you gloss over this simplification.
