@shavixmir saidWell this didn’t impact why I voted Conservative this time, it was a one issue election for me.
Do you really think there’s going to be 40 new hospitals with 50.000 new nurses in 5 years time?
Did you believed there would be free broadband for the entire UK?
Did you believe last time that all university fees would be scraped?
Did you believe that all utilities would be renationalised?
And so on and so forth...

@wolfgang59 saidConservative voters and Leavers.
Who won?
Who are the "we" you suddenly belong to?
Tough questions Wooly, keep them coming.
@kazetnagorra saidYes winning is is a peculiar mentality and probably not one you are used to. Losing & Moaning are probably a mindset you are more familiar with. But let me try to explain using these example media headlines:
What a peculiar mentality. I've never felt like I was "winning" when a candidate I voted for did well in the election. I just try to find the least worst option and hope they don't screw things up too badly. And I have actual choices!
- “Leave voters WIN EU referendum”
- “Conservatives WIN election by landslide”
- “Labour LOSE election catastrophically”
- “Brexit Party “WIN” more seats than any other party in EU elections”
‘Winning’ and ‘losing’ are interchangeable as nouns as well as adjectives and combine well other verbs when generalised:
- “After LOSING 3 election in a row, ‘Remainers’ continue to MOAN that life and the universe is unfair”
I hope this helps.
@divegeester saidYou ... a Conservative supporter!
Conservative voters and Leavers.
Who'd have thought.
@divegeester saidIt’s the colour of old people freezing to death in their homes and the colour of 350.000 homeless people dying on the streets.
Blue is the colour.
It’s basically the colour of little kids on the floors of hospitals too.
@divegeester saidTo me and most adults who have ascended beyond a tribal mentality, elections are not about "winning" but about trying to get competent people into positions of lawmaking so that beneficial policies are effected.

@kazetnagorra saidThat’s just the kind of thing patronising pricks like you say when they’ve LOST three critical elections in a row 😆

@divegeester saidI've never lost an election.
