London To Ban Bottled Water At City-Run Facilities

Tuesday August 19, 2008
CityNews.ca Staff

The bottled water backlash is alive and well in Ontario and on Monday the City of London demonstrated as much by becoming the latest Canadian municipality to hatch plans to eliminate the popular products.

The London city council has voted to stop the sale of bottled water at all city-run facilities including office buildings, arenas and community centres and possibly even golf courses.

Thank you.

Now, do you have anything to contribute to the topic at hand?
Yes, you are a supercilious terd, and suffer from terminal Al Goreophilia. The hot air from you mouth alone is causing the Polar Bear's extinction. Plant some flowers! Other than that i say, "No cut flowers."

This is good. When will the Gov't restrict you to wiping your butt with a Sear's Catalog?

The flowers will typically last only a few days and then get thrown in the garbage and release vast amounts of stored carbon as they decompose.

The only real "benefit" to society

I still don't know what that means.

Why don't you buy some of that flower growing land and farm it? Or, every time you buy food grown on a farm, you send the owner of the land some extra money? Money and guns talk, and money is the far more moral way to talk.

Sadly, most "generous and loving" liberals seem to prefer guns - in the hand of police - as their method of manipulating the market.

ok, lets turn this around....you tell ME what are the positives about the flower industry, other than the ones i've mentioned.

Are you just getting hung up on the word "benefit"?

I'm getting hung up on the phrase "to society".

Why should we care about "society" and what does it mean if we do care about it? What is "society"?

I care about people, not the government. Well I care about the government because it affects the people.

It lets them bring their sweetheart flowers! 😵

It also lets people do something that others find valuable in order to earn their room and board.

In contrast, a law denying people these things would violate their Right to Pursue Happiness, and they'd be justified in putting a bullet in the head of anyone trying to imprison them for this.

Last of all, it's none of your f*&^ing business what flower growers do. If you don't like it, too damn bad. You're not Emporer of the Universe and if you were I'd fight to depose you.
