Er, what's this thread doing in debates? 😕
Is the objective of this thread to start a fight about people's beliefs?
I know how this is going to finish already:
The non-believers will remain not believing, and the believers will remain believing.

"The fool hath said in his heart, 'There is no God." King David in his 14th psalm, verse 1.
Then you must first prove that the bible is true in every detail.
I say King David didn't know what he was talking about. It is only his opinion, nothing more.

Care to explain?
Perhaps you should have said "there is no good reason to believe" God exists, in which case you could have made an appeal to subjectivism.

I'll say this without trepidation,
The largest wars in History were over religious differences.
Someone said that religion is the opiate of the masses. A way to control people. The first pope, ordained said this, I think. I can't provide a link.
The promise of everlasting life is very powerful. More powerful than the Roman Empire could handle.

Its already been said that people believe because they want to live for ever.... Also many people believe because of a misplaced sense of duty, and because their parents made them go to church.... In past times people believed because if they openly stated they didn't they'd suffer for it....
Just because millions of people believe in the same flying pink unicorn doesn't make it real....
