I don't believe all people are equal-though I respect others and expect the same.
I have family and take care of my own.
Never had religion or education-so never needed to rebel.
So pretty much the same........Small world eh!
My best experience in life was going three or four days without food as a four year old kid.
It taught more than words and books can ever teach.
But that is nothing compared to the real world.
I see a million kids starve each year.
I see.
It.

Shit happens. The strange thing is that we all live with it.
Decides that it is a real good thing that it happens.
Oh well. Shudder. Back to the other dream...
The clever thing about Wal-Mart is they can makes tons of cash by exporting jobs, opposing minimum wage increases, cutting costs to the point where their suppliers dry up (Vlassic Pickles)or move offshore (Levis)and people still like them, because the prices are low enough that most minimum wage earners and unemployed people can afford to shop there.
Originally posted by KneverKnightRight. Good capitalists. That is why commies are out to get them everyday on TV and in the papers.

Any good capitalist is the hated enemy.
Anyone who doubts that what I say about vengeful "worn out commies" only need watch the diatribe against Walmart. Propaganda at it's worst.

Is so hated. By whom? Do you think it is an accident that Walmart is "the great satan" in most of the world?
The thoughts of what the Walton family has done sends shivers down the spines of all socialists.
Originally posted by StarValleyWyI'm just thinking they are getting a wee bit too powerful, very clever though. One man one vote doesn't mean much when one man is me and the other fellow has politicians in his pocket.

Originally posted by KneverKnightNot really. There are always competitors. In everything. Just create more jobs and offer better benefits and health care than they do. Drive them out of existence with your "more humane" methods. That is pretty simple. Don't just try to destroy a positive and leave nothing in it's place. The world has plenty of "nothings" around every corner in the second and third world. What do you have to offer? Like the FARC guys? Drug dealing and murder? Or a job at a nice store that serves a communities needs? Nobody will force anyone to buy anything at Walmart. Ever.
And if not? Vive la revolution! And there we go again.
In my opinion... Any time a business is willing to try and turn a profit while at the same time benefiting the community, it is an asset. As opposed to "do nothing socialists" who create no wealth at all, but are quite content to oppose those who do.
Originally posted by StarValleyWyThat's it though; benefits for employees cut into profit. I'm just saying that we should not run public institutions as a business (If I'm saying anything at all)

Seperate Church from State
Seperate Business from State
Originally posted by KneverKnightDifferent world view. I'm saying "Never let the state do anything except national defense. They stink at business."

As to separation of church and state... absolutely. Including prohibiting government from terrorizing and discriminating against religious people. Keep government out of everything except government.
Absolute agreement on Keeping the state out of business. All the state wants is money. Let them rob their citizenry. Leave business alone. <grin>
