Well. Sleep well then. If you must slink off just before an argument breaks out. That is about what I expect from "standard issue" incapables these days. It is really difficult to incite riots these days. But I try.

BTW... try giving a damn. That's how you ended up with your lack of education you know. Try to improve.

No. I'm afraid you will have to rely on the cute little pictures. Reading will just confuse your life no end.

Sorry.

You're kidding, right? Your OP was peppered with rejection of god and religion as root causes for "evil"....

ah...I see you're not. Hey, best of luck with your "debate". Word of advice, Mr. Intellectual-type guy, try a spellchecker sometime. You might be surprised what they can do for you.

- did the various nations gain the technological and industrial abilities to wage large scale wars before their populations grew too comfortable to stop supplying enough infantry / willpower to wage those wars?

- alexander the great, genghis khan, weren't those wagers of comparative global wars? WWI and II didn't touch the south or north america continents much, re direct action ...

well the catholics made the direct action in south america.
They felt justified in destroying a civilization that had been around
before christianity was a glint in pauls eye. Christians being as
everyone knows, selfevidently superior to all other life forms on the
planet, first of all, animals, they are the shepards and non-christians
they are heathen and therefore up for grabs as slaves, even food if
they can get away with it, tastes just like chicken. Christians are
such NICE people. Just ask the INCA's.

I suppose the easiest way for an individual to build self esteem is to lump all other individuals into groups.

i think categorization is one of the more mechanical parts of animal intelligence ...

if you look at a scene from far away, you see the big picture and discount individual differences, except as your eye travels to them.

and looking at things close up, you see individual differences ...

and the same when you're considering groups of people vs. individuals ...

i think humans have limited cache for holding individual differences, therefore they do need categorization.

not unprecedented, but his predecessors didn't have modern media to capture their actions ... the aztecs, the japanese in korea (middle ages), the japanese in asia (XXth century, ok that is co-incident) ... the mongols ...

That could explain a lot. Couldn't it? About why Europe hates the US so strongly?

You are just plain uneducated if you don't see the "philosophical under-pinnings" of twentieth century war as opposed to wars of empire of the nineteenth century.
The reason Europeans (particularly Western Europeans) hate the US is that they are really no longer relevant on the world stage... the US dominates the world in every way imaginable (except for the actual conquest of land, that's Europe's history, not ours)... whether it's economics, military, or technology... the Europeans are irrelevant, and what's worse, they KNOW it...

The Eastern Europeans don't have the same hatred of the US as the western Europeans, because they know that the US represents freedom, something which was lacking in Eastern Europe for many decades, while the Soviet Union was in business.

And, as you know, when it comes to the oil for food program, France (Chirac) and Germany's (Schroeder) fingerprints are all over the place.. practically the only world leaders that WEREN'T bribed by Saddam and his oil were Bush and Cheney.

Europe thinks that by 'uniting', they will be able to create an economic power that can compete with the United States... but remember, you heard it here first.... it ain't gonna happen.
