I have to admit that I don't follow up with them regularly, rather, I simply see them from time to time and the last time I saw them they favored Palin. Now it appears that she has fallen out of favor because of her interview. I guess her only chance to redeem herself will be the debates.
Having said that, picking her was a big gamble just as McCain thre ...[text shortened]... Biden goes, however, I simply think he was a mistake in that he could have just done better.
I can just see it now. High stakes Presidential Poker.

This contest has been going as expected so far and now with a change of players North Korea seem to be upping the ante with renewed rattling about nuclear capability(sitting on a full house) and Iran seems ready not to let go of this round either(holding a pair of sixes) and strike me newly inaugerated President McCain has gone all in. Whats he holding? Good Lord he only has a pair of three's and has gone all in hoping for another three on the river. Wow that took guts. Or absolute brainlessness.
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand wascaught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.'
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post
turtle was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you
come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post
turtle.'
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so
he continued to explain. 'You know she didn't get up there by herself,
she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is
up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there
to begin with."

Originally posted by no1marauderOriginally I thought that McCain was there to drive home the legislation to avert a political crisis. Now it appears he is there to throw a wrench in the whole affair to not just politicize the situation, but also to appeal to voters that hate the legislation to begin with. All I can say is if McCain causes this country to go into a financial collapse via his antics he will not even have my vote, he will not have the vote of one single person in the country. Of course, the Dems are playing the same games trying to politicize the situation and, in addition, I blame them for laying the ground work for the whole affair. In fact, I was reading about how the Republicans a few years back introduced legislation to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with the concern that they were getting to big and unsupervised to boot, however, the Dems killed the legislation. The only good thing that will happen if this country collapses into financial ruin will be that all these bone heads will be without a job.
Your brain works in strange ways. McCain aggressively SUPPORTS the bailout; the majority of people OPPOSE it. How the hell is that going to help him???????? What's more, McCain's previous record of supporting deregulation in the financial industry is now well known and has led to him sinking in the polls. Obama now has a huge advantage on th ho will better handle the economy" question. Your wishful thinking is bizarre and laughable.[/b]
