Wait Mott, I am leading them into a trap with that very point! (see democracy thread) Note Sonhouse says democracy while he is brushing his teeth, and puts it in every para, but since he never told me what it was (no one did), I never got the gist of his comments referring to democracy!
Check Kev out on the democracy thread, he is beginning a discussion promoting mob rule.

By "mob rule" you mean the majority of the People deciding what public policies should be implemented?

Only an illiterate illiberal halfwit would think that because of a loose translation from Ancient Greek to English meaning ‘Mob’ would have the same connotation as the word mob today ‘Crowd’ would be another reasonable translation.
Democracy no longer relies on a Mob or Crowd gathering in the city square for a show of hands, only GOP supporters trying to overturn a democratic election result rely on the mob today.
