Did the American people panic on December 7th, 1941?

Did the American people panic on 9-11-01?

I think you and he have a poor opinion of the character of the American people.
are you talking about the people that hoarded toilet paper?

good thing Trump didnt allow the country to panic isnt it? would have been much worse.
Even if we assume his intentions were good (even though they never are) Trump still did NOTHING to combat a pandemic he admitted was 5 times deadlier than the flue.

All he did was attack people who tried to warn the public, when he could've been saving lives. Trump caused the U.S. to have the highest rate of cases AND deaths from COVID.

Not true, Viv. The most "numbers"? yes.
But when viewed as infections/million and deaths/million, the US was lower than
many nations, one of which was the UK. But who cares, right? And Italy, too.

Also, no one can explain the very low rates for African nations. Very little
lockdowns there. How does this happen? Well, maybe because the virus
mutates wherever it goes. The US had the Euro strain, not the Asian strain of
the virus. But that never seems to matter to anyone, as long as they can
cherry pick information and bash Trump with it.,

This is interesting. Take a look. 9 countries with high rates - death per million than the USA.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Confirmed deaths (absolute) Daily increase (# deaths)¹ Population (in millions) Deaths per million
Peru 30,123 147 31.99 941.66
Belgium 9,917 5 11.42 868.23
Spain 29,628 34 46.72 634.11
Bolivia 7,146 49 11.35 629.43
Ecuador 10,701 74 17.08 626.36
United Kingdom² 41,594 8 66.49 625.58
Chile 11,702 20 18.73 624.8
Brazil 128,539 1,075 209.47 613.64
Italy 35,577 14 60.43 588.72
USA² 190,332 1,174 327.17 581.76
Sweden 5,842 4 10.18 573.69
Mexico 69,049 565 126.19 547.18
Panama 2,116 9 4.18 506.6
-------------------------------------------------

Please note: The USA clearly has had more deaths/million than SWEDEN and
Sweden did NO lockdowns, the US had lockdowns all over America. How can this be?

SIMPLE. the two strains are not the same or perhaps "herd immunity" is a better approach.

Anyway, we should not pretend to be "experts" on this matter, as there are NO experts on it.

9 out of 194 nations? Man, we're killing it.

Not having their country's leader lie about the severity of the virus is a good start.

Which planet do you live on again? "it's going away'?
You been doing the koolaid again. 190,000 dead and projected to be twice that by years end and you think it's going AWAY?

@Earl-of-Trumps
So you figure after Trump was told in January the virus was dangerous and he said down play it, and then ZERO federal response which is what a REAL leader would have done, start a Manhattan size project to co-ordinate companies making PPE, but nothing like that happened, instead Trump said it was up to the states to do that and then stole PPE legally purchases from states buying them.

The old Nixon bit about what did he know and when did he know it is in full play today with the lies of Trump who, as you say, should be in the hall of shame.
Actually WILL be in the hall of shame.

I see him doing a Hannity after he gets out of prison.

Why do you keep referencing times when most Americans today weren't even born?

And how do you not realize that reacting to attack from military weapons isn't the same as reacting to a virus?

You believe that panicking from a military attack (from 70 years ago) proves people will panic from a pandemic. What an unintelligent comment.

You can slant it anyway you want but the bottom line is Trump not only DROPPED the ball but burned it up in a trash can.
He said he downplayed the virus to prevent panic.
So now we are within a week of 200,000 dead and 6.5 MILLION with C19. I guess you figure that is better than panic.

and we don't assume his intentions were good because this is a man who routinely tells lies and stokes the fear of as many people as he can.

Biden is going to sell the country to the Chinese. There are antifa terrorists on airplanes. Windmills cause cancer.

He tries to cause panic wherever he goes so he can blame democrats and paint himself as the only saviour. He just cynically considered this might be bad for his reelection. Which we knew already but there was still a chance he was simply that stupid. Now we know

A true leader, he kept the people from panicking. And it is going away, and we still have a robust economy.
He misled you. Deliberately. Put you and your parents life in danger.
He’s politicized wearing masks... when he knew all along that the dangers involved.
The US is not a robust economy. It’s a den of gamblers getting rich over the sweat of hard working people... those who aren’t unemployed or eating from soup kitchens.

And you still support trump!
What would the man have to do for you ro realise what he is? Watch Cuties or something?
