@averagejoe1 saidToo easy.
A good thread good be on 'Conservatives want to tell other people how to live'. Why don't you start one with some factual points?
Forced pregnancy by rape? Purely a Republican hard-on.
I bet you have one for your ten year old grand-daughter right now.
@sonhouse saidThis is just a smear campaign by the dems that will last well into the midterms.

Entering a new phase where for only the second time in US history a president of the US under DOJ investigation.
Included in that are getting the actual phone call audio of Eastman, the guy who wrote the script on how to overthrow the US government.
What I wonder is how long the ultrar ...[text shortened]... US seat' and the like.
Come one right wingers, here is your chance to strike while the iron is hot.
Garland, a henchman controlled by the criminal gang known as the Democratic party.
@kevcvs57 saidLet's tell it like it really is, Kev. The Democratic party is by *far* the one that is inching us closer to totalitarianism.
Hullooooo you call yourself a libertarian people can call themselves what they like it’s meaningless.
People who want to tell other people how to live their lives call themselves conservatives and people who support a guy who tried to usurp democracy are adamant that they believe in freedom.
The NAZI Party was a middle class project who were aligned with massive anti com ...[text shortened]... cialists and communists but we know that can’t be true because they’ve called themselves ‘Democrats’
Let me show you what means most to the left and the right in the USA with just ONE example, there are of course, many.
ObamaCare: There are 2,700 pages to the Obama health care document. How many people actually ^read^ that document?
Yet everyone had an opinion, and it was usually a strong opinion. That is because they judged the measure,
not by actual healthcare benefits, but by how much power the government absorbs.
And the fooking democrats LOVE it.
@averagejoe1 saidOh, yea, conservatives take away your freedom to knife someone in Central Park, or to carjack in the square downtown.

Dang conservatives!
@Earl-of-Trumps
Smear campaign. I guess if Trump was dem you would go HANG HIM.
The witnesses BTW are ALL republicans and in the inner circle of Trump so it goes a bit beyond witch hunt. Don't know why you continue to defend the indefensible.
It could be because maybe you are not as much libertarian as you profess.
Another guess, you hate dems more than you hate repubs.
So repubs are the lesser evil in your mind.
@sonhouse saidNo, I'm happy for you Sonhouse. I am also happy for the truth. We are entitled to the truth. If T is innocent, I would like him again as leader. If he is found not so innocent, then I believe in the law and there will thus be consequences.

It is very simple.
@AverageJoe1
But you don't believe he is guilty of anything do you? And the rest of the zombies here, Trump is an assshole but he is OUR assshole.....
You are blissfully and deliberately not watching the hearings so you don't have to actually be shown the evidence of the PROFOUND corruption of Trump who got his sycophants in just about every office in the government and now it is clear the missing texts on Jan 5 and 6 are not accidental, the most important evidence about who knew what and when did they know it, just ACCIDENTALLY gone? The prevailing theories are deliberate coverup, or incompetence either one is devastating, but it sounds to me more like door number 1, AIDING AND ABETTING TRUMP.
This coup attempt was not just a bunch of proud boys ramming into the capitol building, it was also FAKE ELECTORS started by Trump and the incessant pressure campaign by Trump, Giuliani and Linsey Graham CRACKER and others to try to get state AG's and IG's to just find those 12,000 odd votes which unless you have been living under a rock you know full well that is EXACTLY what Trump said in that phone call, but you know good and well he is corrupt. Why do you keep defending him?
@earl-of-trumps saidYou have a point there.

Eastman, the lawyer, wrote a 6 point step by step process, probably no more than a page long and presented that to Trump.
The topic ????
How to overturn an election.
That is a big step towards an authoritarian dictatorship.
But thanks for your enlightening post.
@AverageJoe1
This effort to overthrow the government of the US goes WAY beyond Trump.
Right now there is a case, Moore V Harper, all the way to SCOTUS, deciding whether it is ok for states to make up their own electors for the electoral college, giving states the right to overturn a legal election with a clear winner and if they don't like that winner, cast out the votes, install their own electors, and that happens to be a major republican agenda because republicans at the top level are after one thing and one thing ONLY at the VERY top of their agenda, and that is pure power no matter what it takes or what they do to get it.
This is a serious charge to kill democracy forever in the US, once a win like that takes place and I would not put it past the ultrarightwing SCOTUS to make that the law of the land and that would literally be the end of democracy in the US
That is what Trump has wrought, besides his own personal corruption with his evil plan to install yes men in every level of government, like DeJoy as Postmaster general or Barr as AG or moles leading the Secret Service and the FBI, he clearly wants people in those offices to have100% loyalty to Donald Trump before the constitution or anything else, and he got some of that which is why we see this crisis of missing data Jan 5 and 6, the deeper DOJ looks at that one issue the more it looks exactly like major coverup.
Trump is PROFOUNDLY corrupt and has been plotting to take over completely for more than ten years, he stated YEARS ago if he lost, way before he even ran, he stated if I lose it will be because of fraud.
Before Trump, there was ZERO problem with ANY voting technique, mail in, whatever, but Trump was pressuring the military to seize voting machines when he lost, it was only real hero's like Gen Milly who refused to go along with that.
You will undoubtedly just say I am just another crazy old man but the deeper DOJ looks the more it looks like a literal multiprong multi year effort and Trump is the head of the snake and it may already be too late to turn the tide back to peaceful transfer of power from legal fair elections.
If republicans win fair and square, that is the US way but that is not what they are planning which has been made obvious by the Moore V Harper case coming before SCOTUS.
There will LITERALLY be no democracy in the US if SCOTUS goes along with that case.
That makes all the corruption of Trump look like a case of fraud against girl scouts compared to the magnitude of the implications of that case.
We could win out against Trump, get him in prison and STILL lose our democracy.
Is that acceptable to you?
@jj-adams saidTrump has been under investigation since the 1970's covering everything from mob ties, racial tenancy policies, sexual harassment, inappropriate sexual conduct, failure to pay/defrauding contractors, use of illegal citizens (Polish labourers),.... That's just the tip of a very large iceberg.
@sonhouse
Finally?
Trump has been under investigation of one kind or another by the Dems since his first day in office.
There are exhaustive lists out there. But I'm sure it's all smoke, no fire.
@kmax87 saidIf that's true, and he's never been convicted, what is your point?
