@moonbus - I took Pondy to be talking about finding truth here in RHP forums. There's no power at stake here, so, the chance of finding truth is marginally better than in the rough and tumble of real-world politics.

I see people in here take impossible sides to defend because their side, (dem or repub) needs defending. This debates forum is all about politics, of course, and the people that post in here do their utmost to prop up their side. It's all about power, here, anywhere.
