The psycholigical effects of living with the names Jade, Chelsea or Josh isn't to be underestimated either.
It can often lead to these individuals swaggerring around provincial town centres wearing pink (for girlz) or blue (boyz) pyjamas in their early teens.

Gone are the days when you unscrewed a lively Chardonnay.

Teenagers leaning on prams and puffing doggedly at their cigarettes, like the spirit of the Blitz. England prevails!

Oh, crap. English children have been miserable since Victorian times. Viz, Oliver Twist. Fast forward to The Smiths. It's shyte being British.
And to think Madonna went all the way to Africa to help a child.

Perhaps she thought that British children are simply beyond help. Due in large part to the moral deterioration effected in their mothers' generation by her own singing, dancing example.

I still haven't managed to track down any of her contributions to children's literature.

A way of getting very drunk without that bloated, too much beer feeling. Fun for all ages, believe me. 😀

Any chimp can find a book on Amazon. I've yet to see one of those things in a proper bookshop.

Spot the high tax nations are at the top. Yet in this country (UK) 1 in 3 families are dependent on benefits. Our taxes have never been higher and we are still bottom.

Our politicians, from both parties, have failed us and our children.

Really? Look how many of those countries are currently actively involved in war. I think you'll find that it's just the two at the bottom.

Of course, it is only the heroic self-sacrifice of that warrior pair that vouchsafes the security of the rest.

Who else other than Spain on that list have suffered a terrorist attack since 9/11? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents - France and Germany have a minor incident each, Germany because of the world cup and the French incident is a failed bombing plot of a US embassy.
I have an idea, maybe if you attack people they fight back, if you leave them alone, they leave you alone...

The Unicef report looked at 40 indicators including poverty, peer and family relationships, and health.

Anybody any ideas what we are doing wrong? Any solutions?

it as a result of the liberal/ leftist agenda pursued by the labour government which has dismantled the family, undermined parental and school authority and wasted billions of puunds of our money.
i blame the conservatives, who screwed things up so badly that we had no alternative but to vote labout in the first place 😠
Blair continued with Thatcher's ideals hence the wonderful phrase Blatcherism. 20 years of that would screw up any country.
Why do people blame the conservatives for other people's actions? I've heard people complaining that the conservatives moving to the left causes people to vote BNP instead of conservative, hence they are at fault for what the BNP do...
