What would happen if say Malcolm Rifkind becomes Tory leader. Assuming Brown takes over from Blair all 3 main parties would be lead by Scotsman.
If as you suggest pro-independence candidates do well in the scottish elections and a referendum leads to an independent Scotland.
England would would be a mess politically and the (dis)United Kingdom would constitutionally and politically in pieces.
