That's right:
"US consumer prices fell in June for the first time since the early months of the pandemic. Fresh data Thursday revealed that consumer prices dropped 0.1% from May. On an annual basis, inflation eased to 3% last month from 3.3% in May."

Oh, and the economy added 206,000 more jobs despite negative inflation. Oh and average hourly earning have outstripped inflation for more than a year. https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm
Pretty rosy economic news, ain't it?
@no1marauder saidCan't wait to see how the maganuts spin this!

@Cliff-Mashburn saidWouldn't want this trend to continue right?
OMG one good month after 42 months of pain, thanks a pant-load for the rosy results.
@no1marauder saidYes, the alt right's playbook is so well developed they can overturn anything positive with alternate facts without breaking into a sweat. Bunch of moronic traitorous scum.
A reasonable guess is they'll say the same government agencies that they loved when they were reporting high inflation two years ago are now so infected with socialist yes men that they are cooking the books for Biden.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidIt can meander anywhere it wants under 3% which it is eminently set up to do for a very long time, which would be awesome, unless Trump gets the opportunity to monkey wrench the economy towards his preferred setting of neo-serfdom and then your concern that its too early to celebrate might hold true.
Let's see if it does before you start bragging about it.
@Cliff-Mashburn said3% year inflation (that's the figure since last June) is lower than it was every year but one during the Reagan administration. https://www.investopedia.com/inflation-rate-by-year-7253832

@kmax87 saidTrump want a 60% tariff on Chinese imports and a 10% tariff on ALL imports.

Imagine what that will do to the inflation rate.
@no1marauder saidYup, but don't forget, the Chinese will pay the tariff...

@Cliff-Mashburn
OF COURSE you would say it is all Biden's fault ignoring the FACT JACK that the dow is now over 40,000 and over 200,000 new jobs in June. If you want to bitch about having to earn 1200 a month to live, look at those 200,000 who in May did not even have a job at all.
I am in the same boat financially as you but not because of Biden but back in '98 or thereabouts, I had a 401K worth a quarter mil, but a crash brought that down to 3K in a couple of months and I had no choice where I could put my 401k into some stock or other and all of the portfolio dumped, in order for me to be able to put my 401K money into other stocks besides the one chosen by other people I had to be 59 1/2 and I was 58 ATT so I was totally screwed and that is why I have to keep working, 3K a month does not pay the bills.
My big mistake was thinking if I just let it slide it will come back up again. If I had any financial smarts I would have dumped the money out, taken the cash and payed the 20% tax but I didn't so now here I am.
