Why would NATO supply weapons to a non member? But again, not what Russia is demanding. Crimea is already part of Russia so Ukraine would not be giving up anything they have not already lost.

I’m saying if it is just ceding Crimea and recognising the ‘breakaway republics’ and no nato membership then it may well be doable but if it means no eu membership and the loss of southern Ukraine then it will not and should not be acceptable to the Ukrainian leadership or peoples.
Remembering that the ‘dictatorship of Zelensky’ has insisted that a referendum will be needed to ratify any peace deal.
Try and remember that Russia insisted it was not going to invade Ukraine when you are pushing any statements from them as actual truth.

This is about NATO, not EU.

All Russia is asking for (other than a cease fire) that they do not already have is no NATO membership. Isn't that worth peace?

I do not believe that’s all they will be asking for, the guy quoted by Reuters sat full face to camera and insisted that Russia had not invaded Ukraine 3 days ago.

Everybody lies. The USA, UK and France told Russia NATO would not expand and that was a lie. Why shouldn't Putin lie? They lied. Why shouldn't he do the same to them?

Those ‘breakaway states’ broke away and asked Russia to come in and provide security. Russia already occupied those ‘breakaway states’ before the war. Russia just wants it officially recognized. Why not? It is not as if Ukraine will ever get them back anyway. Russia is winning the war.

Zelensky can agree to Russia's terms now or later after he has lost half of the country to Russia. He is a puppet though. In reality it is not really his decision. That is why he has to sit in a bunker and hear his country is being taken over by the Russians and hope the USA doesn't abandon him.
