I'll start the earthquake thread.
Apparently 2,000 Indonesians are dead following today's 8.7 earthquake. That number will surely rise.
Where's all the hemming and hawing over their souls? Surely, 2,000 dead is more than one dead. Simple math. Shouldn't we spend 2,000 times as much effort and emotional energy FREAKING OUT over their de ...[text shortened]... e imminent death of one poor soul who hasn't been conscious at all over the last fifteen years?

you never know what medical advances can do, say in 10 years, I heard of somone waking up after 20 years, good thing they still fed that guy
And we should probably wrap up this derail right here. I'd suggest making a new thread but instead we could just pick one of the many that ivanhoe has started on the subject.

I'm very disappointed to be reading yet more about some fat yank who is somewhere between life and death.
Crikey the Pope is in basically the same state (and his death will have proper repercussions) but you read very little about him here.
Can we have a separate Terri forum please. If not stick to one of the countless Terri threads.
Thank you
