What's the point of Miss Universe?
To secure a certain number of viewers with certain demographics and to sell advertising 'space' to companies that want to expose their services or products to those potential customers.
the genre needs spoofs -- something like a Miss Drag Queen Supermodel pageant which would feature 50 top (heterosexual) male celebrities. RuPaul could be on hand to give them all tips on how to walk in high heels.
But the best part would be the "talent section" - an especially brutal form of torture that we would force upon the American Idol judges.
