In fact I was appalled by the fact the English "fans" behaved with utter disrespect to guest nations by whistling during the nation anthem.
You could maybe count that under "being the twelvth man" (though I think it reprehensive, as is the fact that evidently tehere were not enough fair minded people on the rangs who would stop such a behaviour.)

But after losing the match, it seems that some "fans" only see fault with coloured players. Is there need for coment?

English sport freinds be ashamed!

Been going on for decades. Nothing new there. Bad upbringing, no consequences for bad behaviour, the absence of corporal punishment, and fake psychiatrists telling them that its their parents fault are the problems.

You only have to look at the supporters to see there’s a large group of… well… right-wing hooligans amongst them.
No small wonder they get racist like they did.

I can’t remember this booing when the opposite team is on the ball. It’s absolutely horrible sportsmanship.

Nothing beats watching England lose.
It’s beauty at its best.

I read a story a few years ago. Evidently in the UK each student is allowed to curse out the teacher one time a day.

“ English sport freinds be ashamed!”
The decent ones are Ponderable, unfortunately the scum that behave that way have no shame.

Maybe the UK can use the rule in education at soccer games, each fan is allowed to yell one racial slur.

I thought the universal belief about the English has to do with their teeth and how terrible their food tastes.

Overt aggressively committed Racists are a minority and they will probably survive as a social reality no matter how many guardian articles are written in the hope of guilt tripping over 50 million people.
I witnessed the multi ethnic make up of those celebrating the England goals and victories at the Euros. I never witnessed anything like it when going to football matches 30 or 40 years ago. I’ve seen the communal response to one idiot’s vandalism of the Rashford mural.
Things are better and they will continue to improve regardless of the Gaurdian or the racist minority.

@Duchess64

Sounds like you are just as disagreeable in person as you are on this site. It is not racism, it is you.

It must really rankle that the common folk just don't bow in your presence any more. Don't they recognise your RP accent?
