@jj-adams saidI am not a proponent of safe spaces, microaggressions, or the convolution of the rich deep, and often very positive moments in Black History with all things racist. Labeling all society as racist shuts down any conversation about achieving racial justice. I think many social scientists see the deep problems with far left ideologies that support these things.
The evidence just keeps mounting, doesn't it?
How far does it have to go before we say enough?

However, if you're asking 'how far' then I think the answer is: Farther than this.
It seems relatively innocuous to limit a seminar about Black History to specific demographics. Even though it would not work the other way around (e.g. to ban Hispanics), I can see why certain events would want to do this. It's a long, long way from separate drinking fountains.

@shavixmir saidJust to be clear, I was saying you're correct about what "woke" means. All I was doing was pointing out the original meaning which has long since been lost.
Until a year or 2 ago I’d never even heard of the term.
But, then again, I’m just learning that Ancient Rome never existed and that tiktokkers have discovered a secred method of moving from one universe to another.
So the who the hell am I?
@wildgrass saidFar left?

I seriously doubt social justice warriors with their woke BS are far left.
From a far left perspective, it’s about class and poverty. And the colour of one’s skin is neither here nor there; racism is not a cause, but one of many results of poverty and a lack of ability to make choices over one’s life.
A far left perspective on safe spaces would be: “A safe fukking place? You ponsy arse-hole! There are millions of people starving, unemployment, wars, religious intolerance… and all you can think of is your own pathetic little self and your need to shelter yourself from the truth. A 3 month tour in Afghanistan is what you need. On a one way ticket. Make your own way back. And then we’ll see how much fukkin’ safe space you really need.”

@shavixmir saidNo I think I wrote that "labeling all society as racist" is far left, and it undermines the goal of social justice. But maybe it was not written clearly. That's what I meant at least.

@wildgrass saidThe far left does not label all society racist.

Only racists.
@wildgrass saidLook at the OP, who claimed that one story from the UK is "evidence" that the world persecutes whites. This from a racist right-winger.
No I think I wrote that "labeling all society as racist" is far left
Remember Whodey, who used to post from a site called "WhiteGenocide.com"? Racist right-winger.
The "great replacement theory" that whites are being replaced by immigrants? Racist right-wingers.
