I try to stay out of purely religious arguments because they tend to be completely futile, with no expectation or hope of any sort of resolution. I try to stick more to topics like evolution that have some sort of grounding in the "real world," where some sort of evidence has a chance of making an impression. (Yeah, I know... 😕 )
My most interesting, engaging, and productive, though frequently frustrating, opponents have been KellyJay and CalJust. Both are (mostly) willing to debate the topics and (mostly) try to stay away from invective, slander and just complete irrelevancy. 🙂 The frustration comes because topics tend to get dropped and then brought up again later with little to no acknowledgement that we discussed the same material before.
I'm less pleased with dj2becker, who simply does not engage. He posts things that he got from somebody's web site (generally without acknowledgement and sometimes without relevance) and then never responds to the criticisms of the material he posts.
The theists I find most open-minded and prepared to stretch their own beliefs are probably Kirk (Kirksey957) and nemesio. There are others and I don't mean to slight them, but those two stand out in my mind.
Thanks to all of you for many interesting discussions, and, hopefully, many more to come.
Best Regards,
Paul

KellyJay may be my favorite religious sparring partner. He's willing to have serious discussions about fun fringe cases like fire-breathing animals, and the micro-logistics of the Ark story. He distinguishes himself in this way from most others who either dismiss those sorts of topics as irrelevant or simply resort to "God works in mysterious way ...[text shortened]... r challenging his ideas. In these ways, he is worthy while others are a waste of time.

I agree, my fault sometimes and sometimes it isn't. On days I'm
available to come here I post a lot, but when my work week rolls
around I tend to not show up except for chess moves. I may or
may not pop into the forums when that happens. I would be more
than willing to continue where we left off, I just need a reminder
every now and then. I will never be insulted if you bring something
up I did not respond to.
Personally, I have a high regard for several posters here that I do
not agree with on much. I'd hate to list them because I know as soon
as I do I'll leave someone off that had I been thinking I would add
to the list.
