No I’m pretty sure on this occasion it’s either, your poor reading skills, or your poor communication skills. You quite clearly accused me of not grasping something that was totally irrelevant for the purposes of my post.
In my post I drew a comparison between the Mexican Cartels, whom Trump claims will be kept out by the wall, who are very adept at tunnelling under border and prison walls, and the Wehrmacht’s strategy of simply avoiding the Maginot Line by circumventing it rather than assailing it.
Your follow up post is just repeating the gist of my original comments about the line.
If I had said the Maginot Line made France or even Northern France unassailable then you would have made a valid point, but I didn’t, and you haven’t.

Patton's statements are ridiculous.

Castles were incredibly formidable and vastly reduced the number of men needed to defend an important position. They were fabulous.

You can also find pre-Trump sources emphasizing that the Great Wall was generally effective.

Ummm

No idea Patton had said that.
