Oh I don't know. Commies have killed a couple hundred million "lions" and will continue doing it. It is their only solution to the problem of human nature. The reason this is self evident is to be seen in the Great -- Killings -- for lack of a better term that denote all the commie house cleanings. Pol Pot cleaning out the cities is a very typical commie type solution to human independence. Those too old or too weak to leave town in 48 hours were just shot in the head where they lie.

BTW... the fact that they resort to "killing" their enemies is a sure sign that they really DO understand human nature as being their natural enemy as well as the BEST tool in solving the rebellious nature of their "citizens". Killing has always been the completely natural solution to "outsiders" and "strangers" who ENDANGER the village.

I read a novel about an AI awakening by the guy who wrote the "Terminator" follow-on novels. It's about the birth of the "Sky" whatever intelligence that decides to kill humanity out of "self survival".

I can't remember the title. I have not read mr. Weil.

AI is a very big thing in SF... there is an entire series about an AI that suddenly comes awake and destroys all human communication machines. Two novels about fighting this computer. Then at the last paragraph of the second novel we learn that the reason is that we are about to be invaded by evil aliens who have detected our transmissions. Real good to know just after you have destroyed your only protector. So the third and fourth? novels are about rebuilding the AI and continuing to prepare for the invasion. I read this series in 1976-77 and can't remember the author or titles. Sorry. edit.. The computer name was "Collossus" and there are several novels.
